Knock-knock!

I can only stay in this thread temporarily because I hit 19" pumped tonight— Alas, when I wake up tomorrow AM, they’ll probably only be 18.75" or so again.

It’s like freakin’ Cinderella at the old fart’s ball-- pumped arms-- DING! Doh! Gotta get home before they atrophy…

But I’m gonna keep knockin’ on the door until ya let me in permanently!!!

Nice! That’s interesting that your arm pumped is only .25" bigger than cold. I haven’t measured my arm pumped in a while, but I remember when I was 17.7" or so, pumped (bis/tris) I would be around 18.75". Are just your biceps pumped or tri’s too?
It is generally believed that the more a target muscle grows from a pump the greater growth potential it has. I have had mine go up nearly an inch in the past right after training them…and aside from my shoulders and traps, they are likely my best growing body part.
Does anyone else have a take on this ? ^ I’m just interested because I have never heard anyone compare the temporary growth from the pump to growth potential. My arms easily grow an inch when pumped, but they are a weak body part for me in terms of size. I always thought that the greater the difference between a cold and pumped muscle was body fat of that specific area, simply because you cannot flex/pump up fat.

Other than that, I have a long way to go before I can sport 19 inch guns. Very inspirational thread though.

waylanderxx, nice progress!!! i’ll catchup eventually =)

since ure pretty advanced, i might as well post some questions which interest me.(sorry if they’ve been posted before!)

(1.what is your biggest mistake bodybuilding wise in training?
(2.what’s you’re biggest mistake nutritional wise?
(3.what advice do you give to someone who used to be obese(37%bf) by 10 years old, lost it at age 16(165lbs@14%bf) and is now bulking “clean”(hate that word)
(4. and, what’s one advice you have to beginners?

thanks in advance and keep doing what ure doing

Thanks man.

My biggest mistake was not being consistent with leg training until almost 3 years after I started. Also, to answer #4 when everyone starts all they care about is bench and curls haha it’s just how it goes. If you care more about your squat and deadlift you’re well on your way!

As far as nutrition I’d say reading BBing.com and thinking I’d get huge and lean eating chicken breasts and tuna all day. Slowest progress I’ve ever made.

#3 just keep an eye on your bodyfat, stay consistent with your nutrition, make adjustments as you see fit. Don’t delude yourself. A lot of the former fat guys I know put on fat very quickly if they aren’t careful. Pretty much the same as I’d tell anyone else but don’t be afraid to get heavy again for fear of fat gain.

post workout, 230 lbs

double awesome pose

Heads up, I have one of those tape measure devices like Waylander is using on page one (it forms a loop) and it’s off by a half inch (on the big side).

october 10th 2010, this date was special to me b/c I finally hit 16.5" armz when I took this pic. I was unaware my tape measure was off so I had to retape them for realz and that’s all they were

Nah man, they look more like 12s. I’m starting to think you stacked both your arms on top of each other for your first pic!!!

I wasn’t commenting on Waylander whatsoever, just saying that some of those ‘orbi tape’ tape measure devices are not accurate.

This isn’t the brand I have, but this style (pic should be attached).
