Do you believe women should be drafted and eligible for combat roles?
Do you believe women should be able to vote?

Yes, it is pushed by those who have normalized victimhood. I know you were trying to imply I was the one sounding like a victim however, I stated objective facts with regard to the rise of the use of partner.
Harm to gays? You mean, victims? And no, it was forced upon heterosexuals. Itās like cis gender; you really think heterosexuals championed the use of that term?
That protects whom? Again, you make the claim that I, or any heterosexual who dislikes these terms, as coming off like victims when their use is motivated by protecting those who find words victimizing.
And? Your individual experience doesnāt mean it isnāt true. Take a gender studies class. Husband is seen as offensive because it reminds one of animal husbandry. Do you think I made that up or did I hear it said?
You do social work so you know that woke ideology has infiltrated it. Terms like privilege, implicit bias, racial and social justice, and anti racism are becoming part of your vocabulary. I wouldnāt be surprised if youāve had DEI training. Do you call it domestic violence or IPV?
It depends on the combat role. Women can make competent snipers, intelligence officers and drone pilots (or regular pilots too), but for most infantry positions, it doesnāt make sense
Why shouldnāt they be???
āWomen shouldnāt voteā implies that they should not have a say in policy, much of which directly affects them.
A good example would be Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar. What rights did they gain and what oppression did they escape from?
Itās not ācan they beā itās āshould they beā.
You didnāt answer the draft question.
If I had to say, Iād say yes. Women would just hold different roles
A lot of ācombatā roles in modern warfare donāt rely on being big and strong
Separate but equal?
Yes, because unlike race, gender actually affects ability to perform certain roles
This does not mean that women should be excluded from doing what they can. There is no reason women should not be drafted for intelligence, sniping, medic or most air force positions.
Women can also be just as competent as staff officers or strategists. The only things they are not as good as are jobs that require carrying heavy shite
Even now, many countries only allow women to be drivers or such, but if the convoy is ambushed, those women pick up guns and shoot like everyone else
Do you believe women should be able to vote?
Cmon man
I think youāre missing his point. Heās saying that women having the right to vote is a feminist belief that even conservatives agree with.
Women can also be just as competent as staff officers or strategists.
Strategists? If I were to Google female equivalent of Alexander the Great, Caesar, Hannibal, Napoleon, Patton, Ghenghis Khan, Rommel, Foch, Sun Tzu or even Thucydides, Machiavelli, Clausewitz, etc., what names would come up?
This bro thinks Joan of Arc came over with Noah!
And Wu Zetain is a bad ass form of Kung Fu.
Are you trollingā¦

History Hit

Throughout history, most cultures have considered warfare to be the domain of men. It is only quite recently that female soldiers have participated...

Until very recently, women were explicitly forbidden from participating in high level military organisations, and historical records tended to leave women out so the fact that any of these women are recognise is quite exceptional
Your argument follows the same logic used back in the late 19th century to prevent women from obtaining higher education.
There is 0 evidence that women are intellectually inferior to men in any way on average. There are obviously exceptional men who are smarter than 99.9% women, but those men are also smarter than 99.9% of men

Thanks for the responses @EmilyQ @anna_5588 and @SkyzykS .
I want to add more to this interesting discussion. Iāll likely do so later. I see we we value marriage with equal seriousness.
For now, I will add a little more. As Iāve said, I think people look at marriage primarily between two people, rather than a social institution that keeps society advancing and running smoothly, which is antithetical to Annaās statement that relationships are equal to marriage. Relationships, boyfriend-girlfriend, āseeing each other,ā ātalking to each other,ā are not socially recognized institutions, and they canāt be.
Marriage comes with a set of accepted stipulations and all throughout history until the present day, there were and are penalties for breaking these stipulations (including going bye-bye in the past). Such stipulations are not possible with so-called relationships because there is no closure or contract in them.
Monogamous marriage is meant to give nearly all average men a stake in the future. Hence it was a highly-consequential element in the high trust and cooperation, social stability, military might, innovation, wealth, high-investment parenting and industriousness of the West. Other societies first looked upon it as quirk, but then realized its amazing effectiveness and copied it. This is not possible with āboyfriend-girlfriendā.
Something to consider when speaking of marriage is a quote from the repeatedly recommended book Sexual Utopia in Power: āThe abolishment of marriage favors women at the expense of men. It strengthens the already strong and the attractive at the expense of the unattractive.ā
My guess is some people would read that (maybe here, maybe not), and think something like, āHeehee, yeah, thatās how it is bro! Survival of the fittest!,ā and never bother to consider why the West was sexually egalitarian. Some of them might be the same people who, in response to any mention of sexual regulation, will say, āThatās like the Middle East. Do you wanna put women in burqas?ā Well, maybe they might consider moving to the Middle East and experience the sexual Darwinism they think is so cool!

Boudica? Her poor, even non-existent tactics, led to her people being wiped out.

Exactly. And I donāt want my generals to be average.
None of whom would make a top 100 or even 1,000 list.
They did pretty good considering their lack of training and in eras where women were actively discouraged from learning about military stuff/leading.
Name a great male general who wasnāt trained, either by family, mentors in their clan/tribe or by some formal institution
My ex-husband, OTOH, cheated on me when I was found to have cancer at 28, which was noticed by my obgyn - I was pregnant. He was messing around with a 19-year-old (poor her!). I didnāt find out about it until many years later, when Iād discovered that he was taking viagra with him on business trips to Las Vegas and he admitted to hookers. I told a friend, and she told me about the long-ago cheating. She hadnāt at the time becauseā¦she didnāt know what to do. I wish sheād told me at the time. But anyway.
Thatās terrible! Iām sorry to hear that.
If I had to say, Iād say yes. Women would just hold different roles
Iām asking specifically if you believe women should be drafted and put into the same exact positions their male counterparts are put into.
I would say they should NOT be drafted.
