ZM Strong like Bull training log (Tactical Barbell training log)

Yeah, your right. I don’t know what Im really good at though, I haven’t done enough to figure it out I think. Im good at following instructions (a skill that seemingly is rare among my peers… ??? ), Im good at physical labor (or at least that’s what I would say). I REALLY do not want to go into something like concrete stuff. My brother works in that area. It sucks. I’ve helped him, and although I managed it, I really didn’t do much. I can tell that it would take up so much energy to do all the work. Dad works in car repair… I could probably learn that but I don’t know… car repair?

Farming could be a good fit maybe… But I’m not sure. Im not sure even how that would work for college. A bachelors… in farming? I suppose they would call it agriculture.

I think for some reason, I’ve been counting on the world ending before I have the chance to go to college, that way I don’t have to get a real job… Which doesn’t make much sense because then I WILL be working CONSTANTLY to keep myself/my family/my neighbors alive, fed, and protected.

I want a job that:

Isn’t going to be killing me (construction and the like).
I wont be working late (I want a time-frame of starting 6 or 7 in the morning, and ending 2-3 in the afternoon.
I will be making decent money, enough to support a family of atleast 3 kids.
I can tolerate enough.

Is this even realistic?

Ok.

I would be good with a job that requires skilled labor, like woodwork, blacksmithing, textile, other similar jobs.

Pros:
I have the oppurtunity (but its not a guarantee) to have my own work hours (If its something where I work by myself and get orders, I can allot myself a fixed schedule where I work every day)
I enjoy this kind of work
It isn’t what I consider a “fake/unhelpful job”, or something against my morals. (modeling, video game/website design, other things I cant think of)
I don’t need to do tons of studying to get a diploma

Cons:
I will have deadlines (yeah… every job really)
Likely could be monotonous (Though to an extent I enjoy this type of work, I can get into a flow)
Pay might not be super high (I think it could be sufficient though)
I WILL need to learn stuff (depending on what job it is I will do)
I WILL need to buy supplies (Depending on if I’m a hired worker or if I own my own business(

I am currently pretty good at crochet, I have the means to practice woodwork, but If I would want to do anything like blacksmithing or glassblowing, I need to get equipment.

Anything else I should consider in general?

What is the retirement plan? What are the benefits (dental, medical, life insurance, education), is it sustainable for life (can this work you are doing at 20 be done at 40), is there a vacation plan?

This is, again, looking at jobs and trying to find education that matches it. I like the idea of studying what I am good at and leveraging that into a career.

Perhaps looking through previous report cards could give you a hint at your aptitudes.

Thats a good idea, Il think about that.

Im good at crocheting and woodworking, more so crocheting, so I think I could do something with that. Im thinking of making a business maybe.

Not really, to be honest. My grades have been all A’s. Although, in my AP US history class last year I got Bs and A’s.
I don’t really struggle with my school subjects at all.

I understand what your getting at though. Among the school subjects, there are some I excell at less than others
AP Physics (what were doing right now atleast, with forces) , I feel like its just not “clicking”. I can do it, but I don’t feel very confident on some aspects

Im kinda good at most things for some reason. I think Im just highly able to absorb information and retain it.

Snack
1 apple
1 string cheese
1 cup milk
----Total: 329 Kcal, 15g fat, 37g carbs, 14g protein
Not bad. Dinner was bad
Dinner:
1/2 homemade italian-like sandwich
1 donut… (I couldn’t resist… I regret eating it. Its not that tasty. I shouldn’t be eating it. It offers no value)
----Total: 731 Kcal, 41g fat, 61g carbs, 29g protein

Days total: 2348 Kcal, 128g fat, 202g carbs, 100g protein

I still need 100g protein and 652 Kcal… ugh.

I really don’t want fish or cottage cheese but those are like the only sources we have at the moment

Im cutting back my calories down to about 2700 a day.
I KNOW I’m gaining fat theres more I can grab. I’ve been eating way too much. Slacking on cardio isn’t helping either.

Im going to focus on getting 160g protein a day for now. And I’m done. Im not eating anymore added sugars. Im done! IM DONE! IM DONE!

I have more than enough fat on me. Its not a TON, but its too much. I still have abs but I still have fat on me.

I am tired of eating all this crap. IM THROUGH WITH IT
I am tired of being trapped with the internet. IM BANISHING IT
I am only using this, calorie tracker, and other stuff I need for school work. Thats it.
I WILL be free in Christ Jesus’s name

I think, after I have finished logging the 3 months here, as per the agreement, I will leave here. This has been a very valuable resource, but I often waste time on this site. I can’t trust myself with this yet.

Im going to quit texting people because it really takes up my attention some times, and I often find myself seeking validation on stupid things. I will only talk physically with my friends from school.

Okay.

I have been thinking about it. Just because there’s a lot of course material for chemistry, does that really mean Im not going to do it? Thats being a coward. I will not be a coward.
If I learn some chemistry stuff now, on my own time, and take AP classes now, I will have less to do. I have a few books on the subject I can read.

What I can ALSO do is make a crochet business now, and run it through college (if possible). That way I have some passive income. I NEED to work on it now though. I can make keychains/decor and clothing, and depending on which one seems to generate the most income (or which one I can do without really getting burnt out), I will focus on it.

I think I will go to college. Its difficult. So what, life is difficult. If I don’t give myself something difficult, God will give me something difficult that I would less-so prefer.

October 13th, 2025. W8D1 Strength day
Im going to have to ask my brother to take me to the gym, since school is out today. Happy Columbus day, The day celebrating the day that Columbus discovered (HE discovered, not discovered for the first time) the Bahamas and eventually caused the death and destruction of millions of native american peoples and cultures, because, Manifest Destiny!!! USA! USA! USA!

Going to do work today on finding the college(s) I want to go to, out of the 20 that have emailed me. Almost had a heart attack the other day, I saw “Oxford College of E…” in my inbox.

Oxford (a place in Georgia) College (a building that’s part) of Emory (a university, in Georgia)

I kind of knew it wasn’t going to be the real Oxford though, because;

  1. its in England. What does England care about me?
  2. Its too good to be true.
  3. I dont think Oxford even emails people to come join their college (to my knowledge atleast)

Soon I will eat my breakfast.

Breakfast: I think this was pretty healthy.
4 eggs
2 slices provolone
2 thin slices ham
1/3 cup cottage cheese
15 raspberries
1 cup milk
----Total: 725 Kcal, 43g fat, 20g carbs, 60g protein

I feel very good today. I moved some of the furniture in my room around. There’s a bit more room now.

Im going to do some more research on colleges. I want to pick the right one when I go to one.
Something my dad said to me yesterday helped. He said, “Either you work your body or you work your mind”. I think I would rather work my mind and then be able to do my exercise, rather than be too tired to want to do stuff regularly.
Il put in the work now so I can have it easier later.

Im looking at how college schedules look… Okay, that looks almost easy. I can manage this for sure.

@T3hPwnisher you mentioned you went to college. Although you majored in political science, not chemistry, what is a common schedule like? Alot of these freshman chemistry schedules I’m finding online are only 3-4 classes a day and like 6-8 different classes total.

Your schedule will be different every semester. For example this is this semester (classes (I do have 1 all online) and planned out study sessions for a big exam):

Versus last spring semester:

Add in how much effort actually goes into a class and you cannot really predict your schedule until you are in the class. Plus college classes are way different than highschool classes. I was A/B student in highschool without studying but I have to study a lot to get A/B especially as I get into more advanced classes

The schedules don’t seem too bad. Actually similar to my highschool schedule (four 90 minute classes every day, flipped everyother day). Only difference Im seeing is there’s time between some classes and some are shorter and others are lengthier. And that the days are fixed every week it seems.

Having time between classes would probably be very good for me, Il have time to process everything I just learned/wrote down. I think Id be able to manage it.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s true. Ive never studied, and although I still get A’s, in my Honors/AP classes Im getting more of mid-A’s rather than 100s. So I probably should start getting into the habit of actually studying. I should work on my handwriting too.

It’s been 18 years since I was in undergrad, but one of the best parts about it back then (and probably still true today) is that YOU get to set your schedule. 16 credit hours per semester is about standard, but you can do more or fewer depending, and you decide which classes to take, which will determine what time they happen. I knew some folks that built their schedule to never have classes before noon, so they could sleep in. Some folks got everything knocked out in the morning. Some folks had entire days off, cramming their tuesdays and thursdays so that MWF was free, etc.

I need to get to bed so can’t get too detailed with nutrition. To sum up in one word,
FATSO

I ate WAY more than I should of, I misjudged how many calories I had left earlier in the day so I had a snack I should not have eaten, so I was down with about 600 left for dinner. Ate lots of beef, corn, and 3 buttered rolls.

Cardio day today, supposedly. Will need to move it to tomorrow since today is a busy day.

I have an appointment scheduled with my guidance counselor today, I will have a chance to talk about college stuff and what I can do now in school to prepare.

Time for breakfast

Good day today.

Breakfast:
2 eggs
3 oz ground beef
1 biscuit
1 cup milk (I think, 90% sure)
----Total: 699 Kcal, 37g fat, 39g carbs, 49g protein

Lunch:
1 wrap turkey cheese lettuce tomato
1 juice box
----Total: 463 Kcal, 15g fat, 59g carbs, 22g protein

Snack+Dinner:
5 oz ground beef
1/4 cup corn
1 biscuit
1 tbsp butter
1.5 cup penne rigate pasta
5 oz meatballs
1/4 cup sauce
----Total: 1407 Kcal, 72g fat, 112g carbs, 78g protein

I need 131 Kcal and 12g protein. I think I can manage with just a glass of milk. I don’t want to eat much more. Im going to try to give my stomach a bit of a break. 1 cup of milk will probably give it more liquid to help digest. Will drink some water too.

Today was good. I met with my guidance counselor to go over some college stuff.
Im planning on taking 6 AP courses next year… Its a little much but I don’t care. I will give myself a study hall and use it. Im planning on doing:
AP Biology 1 credit
AP Chemistry 1 credit
AP Calculus ab 1 credit
AP Seminar 1 credit
AP Physics 2 - 1 credit
AP Macroeconomics or AP US Gov. and Politics 1 credit
Adv strength conditioning 0.5 credit
Strength Conditioning 0.5 credit
2 study halls (one per semester) 1 “credit”

Hm. Well, I cant do any electives (I don’t count strength as an elective, I need it so I can progress with strength during school hours). I have to drop something. The only one I feel I can afford to drop is Seminar but then I cant do AP Research senior year because Seminar is a prerequisite. Argh. I COULD take away one semester of study hall.
There’s no language either, and the school suggests to take atleast three (so that would be the next two years, I didn’t take one as a freshman).
I wanted to take ceramics, but I think I could find a way to squeeze in something after school.

Any Advice? The only ones I can physically afford to lose are my science classes. I don’t want to lose any of them but it could be beneficial for me in the long run. I do have senior year to put one of them.

Thinking this through logically

What NEEDS to stay
AP Macroeconomics or AP US Gov. and Politics 1 credit
AP Calc ab (So I can do AP calc bc next year) 1 credit
AP Seminar (So I can do AP Research next year) 1 credit
Study halls 1 credit
Both strength classes 1 credit
That’s 5 credits that stay

Theoretically I could do everything… But should I? I could parce it out putting 1 or 2 AP classes next year. Chemistry stays. That leaves the decision between AP Bio and AP Physics II.
Im doing AP Physics I this year, so it would be beneficial to continue it.
AP Bio… I can do that senior year then ok.

I have 1 credit left. I think Im allowed to have 2 credits worth of study hall next year? That would leave me with 1 study hall every day for school. Will put at the end of the day preferably.

I think this is doable? What are your thoughts. Am I doing to much? I think I can handle it.

If I do that, then take AP Bio, AP Research, AP Microeconomics, and AP AP Calc bc, that will be a grand total of 13 AP classes over highschool, which if I get atleast a 3 on the AP exams, Il be getting 52 college credits knocked out. That’s a lot. Id better start studying a little bit more soon.

October 15th 2025 W8D3 Strength and yesterday’s workout

Not sure what workout I’ll do. I think some general conditioning could be good.

I have a math test today, Im going to do some review for sure. I need to get in the habit of doing that. Tuesdays Thursdays and filled up, so I have Mondays Wednesdays Fridays. Fridays I might want to leave open. I get home about 2:45, 3:00, on those days. I will need to get my workout in, so Id say thats maybe 30-45 minutes. Eating then maybe 15-30 minutes. So Il be done around 4:00. Then Il give myself 15 minutes to relax if I want before I move on to homework/studying. Il do that for atleast an hour.

I can do this. I just need to focus and not get sidetracked. Need to use my desk in my room more

Time for breakfast.

Just saw I never posted this in the morning. So here it is

I need to do my workout now. Not sure which one. Maybe the Connaught ranges. Those are brutal. Hope my knees cooperate. Hm. Hope they do, they have been hurting some

If you can actually manage this schedule, it’s certainly going to put you far ahead for your college education, which is awesome because it will save you money for tuition by potentially not needing to attend for the full 4 years. I didn’t have the study habits to be able to pull this off in high school, but if you are able to manage, more power to you.

Yeah, I really do hope im able to manage it. I think I can, I just have to practice studying now to prepare. Tomorrow morning Il be having a meeting with the career and college counselor about my plans. I think I might enjoy it in truth, I enjoy learning.
