Kevin,I should call my bar an axle not a olympic fat bar. It doesn’t spin in the middle like an O-bar. So doing cleans with it would be very tough on the wrists.
ah, I kind of knew that it was an axle bar.
We use 2.5 inch pipe at work I bet its the same size.
I would not do cleans with that either.
Hit the gym at work just now. I did the YTWL,facepulls,scarecrows,rotator cuff stuff. I only used 10 lbs with the YTWL and it may be to heavy. My shoulder support muscles are weak. The external rotation stuff really hurts the left shoulder. I’m going to go back down at least once more today and do it all again.
when i first started the ytwl i started with 5 lbers. go light and work the form, your shoulders will thank you later.
10lbs is too heavy… for the ytlwi
I use 5 some days 8 and yes I even used 3’when I want to do more reps or feel tight…
I like the diesel crew version with rotation
and I like the lytp the P is from nick tumelinio he hated the w - me too.
you might like the db power clean, I do these at the end of a work out-
maybe I use 10 or 15 more usually its 10lb plates

yeah… well… I’m at 265 right now. i’ve been staying pretty consistent but i would be lying if i said i’ve been strict. i just love food too damn much.

hard to stay focused. Being sick for two weeks nothing healthy tasted good. I had a few meals that were tater tots with a protein shake. I told one of my Monday night training partners this and he asked if my tater tots were laced with test, lol.

at least you have an excuse… last night i had an entire 16 oz. strip, one large chicken breast and 4 very large home made rolls with margarine and strawberry jam. it was freak’n delicious. i think… sometimes… that i get sexually aroused over food.

I am on the other end of the food thing- I need to eat all day to stay at 180+
and when I do that I feel like crap all day. I need to do some serious eating/conditioning/heavy lifting
to keep size, I will say what once I started to move heavier weights for me, I had to eat to recover.
I think I got food issues, wrestling for me was about staying small- like 55 to 60 kg its hard to get past that.

recovering is mostly EATING. rest has a little to do with it:) i would bet that most of my injuries have come from not recovering fully as a result of too low a protein intake. for the past two months, my protein has been really high and i’ve felt the best that i’ve ever felt. I thought my protein levels were high before, but i guess they wern’t high enough.
I second this. Most would consider my training frequency ridiculous, but I am making gains, at the price of a hefty grocery bill and a couple tubs of protein a month. Right now my bare minimum protein is 400 gms a day. I try to shoot for 500+ most days.
I think there are two types of people. One thinks about food around meal time or if they feel hungry. The other thinks about lunch as they’re eating breakfast and what’s for snack later, etc. I’m in the second group.
