Tony, it was the very simple and cheap to make. I took a 2.5 lb plate to home depot for measurement purposes.
I found a black pipe that the plate fit and bought seven feet. I have two extra collars that I used to for plate stops. Then I just measured off the usual marks on an olympic bar. All for under 25 dollars.

There. You just went and ruined a perfectly good whine. Now I have to go make one.
Thanks for the tip, eco. My wife will be so happy what with another piece of iron in the garage…

Got some downtime today at work so I went and read a bunch of threads. Its amazing that everyone on this forum really knows what they’re doing. Thoughtout, structured, goal oriented workouts all over the place. Everyone does the money exercises and no one is skipping legs.
cuz we is all old enough to know better now

I think you get a pass Scott. A bulging disc gets you out of doing legs for a bit.
only here. we still have to mock him over on his thread. man rules, you know…

I apologize but this is going to be a whine fest. I hurt my lats doing pullups today at work and my left shoulder was extremely painful with anything but close grip pressing. I think my days of regular grip pressing are over for at least a while.
I like the fat bar. It adds interesting variety and forearm work. Definitely a keeper.

rub some dirt on it pussy, I mean Steve…
How many pull-ups are you doing now?
“I aint Fat, but I got a fat bar”? You find the fat bar affects the pressing movements as well as the pulling?
Its big pussy to you. I haven’t maxed chins since I did 13. But I’ll try it again soon.

OK, big pussy - I don’t believe I can do 13 in a row, which means I’ll have to try…

A little bit with the pressing. Much more with the pulling. I don’t have any grip trouble but it could always be better. I’m hoping the fat bar helps.
it certainly won’t hurt…
