krok db row 80x30 each arm
I love/hate krok rows. As I bet most people do. Burned like crazy around rep 20 but I really wanted to get 30. When I was finished my lats/bis/forearms felt all pumped up. I’m going to keep these in the rotation.
Looking good. Not that I think you are good looking. Well, you are large, bald, and have facial hair, so I must think you are beautiful…
I have kroc rows to look forwards to tomorrow. Great.

Now 5 people think I’m pretty. My wife, mom, two kids and Pete.
This is what will happen tomorrow I’m sure-
Pete’s krok rows:120x40reps
(My krok rows:80x30 reps)
Just to make me feel weak.
There’s some good info over on the conditioning and strongman forums. You just have to look really hard and get around all their fighting.
I love hate the Kroc rows… nice work eco.
anything after 20 and my bicep/elbow starts to act up
there is always something very very good going on in lots of the forums
just requires some serioius sifting.
Sifting is a good way to put it KMC.
Just hit the gym here at work and did BW pullups 6x5 sets. I plan on getting down there one more time today and doing 10 sets of 3-4 reps. If this doesn’t get my pullups to improve I don’t know what will.

This week will be the first time I’m hitting 50 reps on BW pullups. I can only do a few sets of triples or doubles, but I grind 'em out every week, regardless. It’s definitely showing in my back and upper body.
And hell, at my weight I rarely see ANYONE doing pullups. The fact that I now do 50/week must count for something! ![]()

I know what you mean about grinding 'em out. 3,4,5 reps at at time. I’m still 262lbs so its quite a bunch of weight moved after all the reps. I do mostly chins and neutral grip.

Yup. All of mine are neutral grip. I’m constantly amazed that people avoid them. I can almost understand avoiding freeweights, they’re scary.
But pullups? (and, for that matter, pushups, too.)

People underestimate BW (weighted for some) exercises like pullups, pushups and dips. I’ve been trying to do more of all three. I just got back from banging out 15 sets for 3 reps of chins/neutral/pullups. 75 total reps today.
Try ladders eco.
If your rep max on bw pullups is say 5 do this:
do 1 rep rest 2 seconds then do 2 reps rest 3 seconds and so on till failure. Then rinse and repeat as deemed necessary by your template or total number of reps you are shiooting for. you get in more volume or units of energy for time spent. after a couple weeks you should see significant increase in your rep max.
we do this for policemen/servicemen on pullups and pushups or for college athletes on the bench press combine test (225 for reps)
looking good over here. We might have to have a Bald guy with facial hair pose off!!lol
Just catching up and that’s some serious reps you’re doing on the rows and pullups. In the military we lived by the push up, pull ups, all kinds of body weight exercises. Sounds like you’re really getting into the weight loss.
Thanks for the great idea Fischer. I’ll try it after my lats stop aching. I can’t remeber my lats ever hurting this much before.
Hel, I’m trying to shed some excess weight. I’d also like to be able to do 20+ pullups and 100 pushups again.
Eco,
When you’re overweight like me, bodyweight pullups ARE weighted pullups!
20 pullups/100 pushups - sounds like a great goal. Actually, sounds like a challenge.
A year or so ago when I had my weight down, I think I did something like 500 pushups and bodyweight squats in sets of around 25. Took about an hour or so as I recall. I think I might have started with sets of 30, and ended with maybe 15 or even 10.
That’s a lot of pushups and squats Math!! You don’t look overweight. Must be the suit coat hiding the weight.

deadlift 335x3,385x3,425x5
deadlift 250 10x5 sets
leg curl 85 10x3 sets
I just don’t have the stomach to do more the 5 reps with 400+ weight. I did all sets overhand grip except for 425.

My problem is my stomach gets in the way!
Wow, that is the Beaver,Wally and Eddie. Guess I may need glasses or pay better attention.
That is a lot of voume on those deads eco, my low back would have sued for seperate maintenace.
Nice work Eco!
