Zerchers are the Shiznit

i can only dream of benching twice my bodyweight. i have been a pig and off the diet this week. but, I noticed just 1 month back on atkins, and my cholesterol went from 225 to 136. If you’re back on atkins, it will help your bloodwork more than anything else out there.

i am still at 281, so you and meat are going to out-svelt me faster. my problem is that my lifts are dropping like a stone. price I’m willing to pay. for now.

Nice training Eco… lifts are still lookin’ strong despite the weight loss. How is your “mental” health… getting cranky at all?

Fischer, thanks for the help. I hope to lose weight and stay strong the way you have.

Dan and Skid, thanks guys. I’ve been stuck at the same max bench for almost 20 years. After I get to my goal bodyweight(240-245) and start adding daily carbs back, I need try something different.

MJ, I’m sure there are better diets out there but the mindlessness of the atkins diet works for me. No measuring amounts or counting calories. Its easy to know what you can and can’t eat on the atkins.

Yes I’m easily pissed off the past couple days. How did you know??

Looking strong Eco. I’m guessing the weight will fall off of you soon too. HAHAHA glad to know I’m not the only one that is OTR without their bread and sweets.

About five years ago I stuck to the atkins and lost a bunch of weight. But I would get so cranky that my wife would tell me to eat a twinkie so I would mello out. I think for a lot of people the quick fix carbs are an addiction and like coming off any addiction its easy to get cranky.

One diet I tried with some success a couple years ago is Dave Palumbos. Looks something like this:

Meal 1
6 whole eggs

Meal 2
8 oz. Chicken Breast or Turkey breast
1/2 cup Cashews or Almonds

Meal 3
50 grams 100% Whey
2 tbsp Natty Penut Butter

Meal 4
Same as meal 2

Meal 5
8 oz. Steak (doesnt have to be super lean)
Green salad or green vegeâ??s with 1 tbsp olive oil

Meal 6
Same as meal 3 or
6 whole egg.

that there is what i do the last 8 weeks of a 18-20 week diet. ^^^^ That diet plan works awesome. If you keep your vloume down you can actually not lose much strength at all.

If doing something like this keep your cardio easy steady state- no H.I.T cardio.

Works real good for big guys Over 250 to shed the excess weight off.

What are you weighing now eco ?

ps: Happy belated 40th. (feel old yet?)

Looks great guys. I weighed 265 this morning on my scale. The 2,4 and 6 meals I’ve been using 50g of whey protein (1g carbs per serving) mixed with water. The other meals I have eggs or large pieces of dead animals and green vegies. I drink water all day and black coffee in the morning.

A very kind person emailed me Jim Wendlers updated 5/3/1 ebook. This book is awesome. A lot more explanation and motivational talk then the 5/3/1 book I bought awhile back. Got me all excited to give it a go again. Jim also gives conditioning and basic stretching in this version.

265- that is some good progress.
every one keeps raving about the 531
hmmmm

kmc

9/12
100 jumping jacks
military press 135x5,145x5,165x15
dips 65 total reps
chin up 30 total reps

Looking good eco.

eco-my bench always takes a drop first when cutting weight.I find the SQ. and DL hold up better for me.

That’s cuz the individual hairs get closer together the more you shrink…

Well this weekend was a bust with the diet. My oldest son had a hockey tournament so we were up early and went to bed late. I ate at Burger King, McDonalds and Dunkin Dounuts. Still at 265 lbs though. Back at it tomorrow.

9/13
sled drag and sprints

Deadlifts tomorrow night.

Now this is funny, because this morning I went to clip my head, and ended up doing the whole front of my torso too (but with a guard on). Man do I look sexy, and before I ate or drank much water, I looked kinda fit even. I acutally have pecs under that fat and hair!!!

So now we’ll all be ripped and shaved down?? This is getting kinkier all the time. Pete, did the wife like the new look??
