Zerchers are the Shiznit

Eco, regarding the new log name, you ain’t fat, your just built to move large amounts of weight:)

Pete, thanks for giving me the new name of my thread.

Awesome stuff Eco. Have a great week.

This is the name for the thread… Damn good work Eco!

Thanks Barry and J-man.

Going to try stone carrying tonight. Have a bunch of cool ones around the yard. Just want to mix it up this week and get back to powerlifting next week.

Got outside and tried stone carrying after work. I started with a couple smaller ones. Then I worked with one that must weigh 180-200lbs or so. I was able to get it up on my right shoulder but not my left. My right forearm has a cool scrape and bruise. After I was done I walked around my property looking in the bushes and found a couple ‘rounder’ stones I’ll use next time.

After I reach a couple powerlifting goals I would like to do some strongman training.

I’m gong to be making some poorman’s kegs and see if I can’t get the real thing too and do much the same thing in a week or so.

Skid, its a different kind of challenge lifting outside. I want to make a bunch of differnet exercises/events in the yard.
I was reading liquor stores may sell(cheap) or give away empty kegs.

My lats ache today from last evenings stone carrying party I had. Unless you’re training for specific event or goal I would recommend getting outside once in awhile for a workout. A lot of the equipment is free(ex rocks). And its a nice change up from training indoors. An additional bonus is people like your wife and neighbors will think you’re a nut job.

Looking strong eco. I have tentative permission to put a flipping tire in the field behind my office. Now, I need someone with a truck that will help me move a tractor tire.

Thanks MJ. Good luck getting the tire. You’ll have fun flipping it.

Starting a new 4 week powerlifting cycle tomorrow. Meat was kind enough to look things over and set me in a good direction. Pumped about getting it started.

That is a very strong close grip eco. Whats the power cycle gonna have in it? Have a great weekend.

Thanks Jimmy. Trying some limited ROM exercises like board press and rack pulls as primary exercises. See how it goes.

8/1
rack pulls just below knee 545 3 sets x 3 reps(belt on)
DE rack pulls 315 3x6
BB row 245 10x3
ab roll from knees 3 sets
grip some x some

Tried some timed holds for grip work. Hurt real good. I guessed to low for the rack pulls. I’ll add at least 20 lbs next time.

Eco, I’m excited for you. Looking forward to see how this new training routine works for you.

Thanks Dan. I’m looking forward to seeing how this goes.

Lol…you worked out with 545# and it was too light. That’s rich…

Really nice work, eco.

It was only rack pulls, LS. If I could deadlift 545 3x3 that would be cool.

8/2
RE bench 315x8
3 board press 335 3x3
pause bench 275x5
rolling db tri ext 40 10x3

Yesterday’s workout is still lingering with me today. Felt weak like a little girl. Its very strange my board press is so close to my full ROM bench. Guess I need more work on my tris. Went out today and bought some new wrist straps and three blocks of chalk. I was pumped about my purchases.

Nice work eco. True, only rack pulls, but some of us still see 545# as a pipedream on those

Meat, I use the same setup as if I were full ROM benching. Nothing weird in my setup I can think of. I’ll get a video next Sunday. I hope I’m doing something wrong.

Thanks LS. Some great benching going on over on your thread.
