Let’s just not show too many body parts while doing so.

I can’t take credit for the new title. It came to me from the chalk angel.

Silly, Sassy and Beautiful was starting to creep me out. Had to change the name.

A.military press 145x5,170x5,190x12,225x3(+1 push press)
B1. bench 225 7 sets 10 reps
B2. face pull 7 sets 10 reps
C1. lateral raise 25s 3 sets 10 reps
C2. chin up BW 3 sets 5 reps
C3. bradford press 135 3 sets 10 reps

I think all the CGB I’ve been doing has help my military press. I’ve never military pressed 225x3. I was going to bench 225 for 10 sets but had enough after 7.

Nice pressin’ eco. That is really strong! At the risk of being monotonous, I’ll say it again…I love military press!

Given how much cgb seems to hit the anterior delts, that is no surprise.

Helluva workout Eco. I can’t imagine being that strong. How do y’all change the thread names?

Excellent mil pressing. Got to admit, the thread title was…different.

Thanks guys.

Willy, to change the name go to the first entry of your thead and hit edit. From there change the name and submit. It’ll change the name of the entire thread.

14’’ box squat 135x5,5 225x5 315x5 405x5 455x2 455x2 315x5
12’’ box zercher squat 135 5x5
step up 7’’ 135x20(10 each leg)
3 sets plyo jumps

What a difference a 14’’ box is from a 16’'. Coming out of the hole was tough with every weight. I did the zerchers with light weight working on ROM. My inner thighs are shaking as I sit here typing this.

Nice work, eco. I remember plyometrics. My shins were never then same after those…and I never did them again.

My quads and lungs were on fire with the plyo-jumping.

I pulled the sled for 1/2 hour and played in the pool with the kids. I can barely walk up the stairs now. Tomorrows leg pain should be interesting.

How’s walking today? How is sitting? That is some brutal lower work. Kudos.

Not as bad as I thought today. I was a mess yesterday afternoon. I had to walk sideways up the steps because my legs felt so weak.

sometimes it takes 2 days…

What kind of sled do you use? Do you sprint with the sled, or walk fairly steady for a 1/2 hour? I have been wanting to get a prowler, but they are a little spendy. I may try and make one of my own.

JJ, I made my sled very basic and cheap. List of materials:

  1. tire-got mine free from a garage
  2. 1-1.5 feet of chain
  3. 10-12 feet of rope
  4. clip-like the ones at the gym that connects the pulldown bar to the cable
  5. handles-I had 2 old handles like the ones in a gym you would do 1 arm cable curls with
  6. old weight belt(optional)

I paid nothing for for my sled. All this was hanging around my house and the tire was free.

Wrap the chain around the tire. Clip the ends of the chain together. Fish the rope through the clip and tie the handles at the two ends of the rope. You could go as basic as just using a rope and tire.

I got a tractor trailer tire so its quite heavy so I don’t add weight. You can put boards inside the tire and put weights or rocks for additional weight. I alternate walking backwards and forwards. Sometimes I put my old weight belt through the handles and pull from my waist, sometimes I hold the handles and pull. I sprinted a couple times yesterday but I mostly walked. I do reverse flyes, flyes, curls…all kinds of exercises. Fischer on this forum has a lot of experience with sled dragging. Also, search sled dragging online, theres a lot of info. Good luck. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the sled info. Very helpful. I was looking to get a tire to flip and hit with a sledge anyway, and I know a few places to look for old tractor tires.

You probably left the tractor attached to the tire when you went dragging…

i always chuckle when i read that people actually flip tires and beat on tires with sledgehammers…for a workout. i grew up working on a farm where i did all this shit just to get dinner at night. i was swinging a splitting maul and sledge by age ten. the thought of doing that shit now for shits and giggles makes me laugh.

too many years of manual labor under my belt. shit… i spent the good part of today framing a room in my basement. the room’s too narrow to build the walls and then stand them up so i’m building my top plates, using a plumb bob to find the bottom plate and then putting my studs in with a sledge. i guess that’s my GPP for the day:)

Kinda makes me laugh to. My granddad had a house-moving company (ie, pick up the house and move it) that employed most of the family when I was a kid, and I swung the sledge my fair share growing up. And I hated it at the time. Now I sit behind a desk for the better part of the day getting soft and fat. Maybe I am just subconsciously trying to get in touch with my roots.
