Demo - for starters its is true, buff type guys are alot rarer over here, all you need is to start speaking and you will be batting 'em down my friend. Met a guy on some student bar crawl and he didnt want to go clubbing, just the quieter bars - all he did was go up and say hi, act all innocent about where to go and bam. easy as that. DT, thank god you told me that even though i’ll be bigger by then - i dont exactly prescribe to the ‘leather biker’ look, i think the 'ole fitted T’s wouldnt go down too well. On the renting front Im screwed, I cant drive! So im forced to stay right in the thick of it so to speak. Any suggestions on where to stay will be much appreciated. And mini, you are a true T-man, and I salute you. Needles to say, i can feel my decisions being made easier and easier. One final thing, what kind of reception do you get if you are a little ‘buff’ er than the average man? well, some interesting thoughts - that seems to me the response I seem to be getting. I currently live in the south west, and it is where i am raised - i am sure you are familiar with the accent (think, ooo and arrr, etc!) and I met a friend on a chatroom some 2 years ago, and she is from canada - after a few weeks I called her and its amazing what an acent can do, just saying certain words set her crazy. I do try to ‘speak proper’ when i talk to her, as that seems to be the way forward. I have rarely come into contact with many americans/canadians, i worked with a guy who was british and raised in california and i have, to this day yet to find anyone more chilled out - nothin seemed to faze him (that and he did a stink for a year in the cia…). I surprised as religion does take alot more importance than here - here everything is so ‘middle ground’, we dont appear to have any excesses, just everythingin moderation, hence I am salivating at the thought of coming stateside for the first time, everyone has really ‘sold’ it to me one this string. I am having trouble believing the intelligence concept though, the amount of trouble you have to go through to get to university over there is unreal. I have 3 a-levels, and due to a crippling pie addiction as a child, as well as addiction to Red Dwarf, The Young Ones and Bottom, my humour has been moulded into something my mother would call ‘special’. If what you say is true, with my accent and blagging abilities(Im in sales), this could be fun! Am considering packing in work at Christmas and working over there for a few months also, so the more info the better!Cheers

As for where to go, South Padre Island Texas. It’s wild as hell, 10’s of 1000’s of hot chicks and Mexico is only 30min away where there is basically no drinking age and anything goes.
What if she promised not to say anything,like ever? Would that help at all?
