Xenoestrogens...How Far Is Too Far

Okay, be real with me…Am I not going to ever be 5’10" 190 lbs and 7% bodyfat just because I use plastic tupperware to store my chicken with in the fridge?

Does anyone else think there comes a point where you just get too deep into something that it’s a bit absurd?

Don’t get me wrong, yeah maybe I’ll buy some glass tupperware to not have to worry about that, but is it really necessary to spend 420 bucks a year to take rez-v just so i can keep producing testosterone? Is everyone who uses plastic and doesn’t buy rez-v doomed to a life of fatness and man boobs even when they’re eating healthy and lifting and doing cardio?

Some things just seem like they’re only important for those who are looking to be like 3.015375% bodyfat precisely. Am I right?

Is this something that your average person looking to do yes a couple natural bodybuilding shows in the 4-5% bf range and just remain 8-10% bodyfat for most all of their life need worry about?

I just personally couldn’t imagine someone hand me something plastic to eat or drink out of and be like “oh, sorry, can’t have that, it’s loaded with xenoestrogens from the plastic.”

yeah i totally agree with you. there are poor souls out there who are afraid to ingest one gram of fat, and others who refuse to touch a carbohydrate. but the poorest will be the ones who become paranoid of plastic. uhh plastic pretty much runs shit on this planet-- there’s really no point in even writing about xenoestrogens, in my opinion.

I’m not a total freak about it,but I do believe that these xenoestrogens are harmfal.
You don’t have to go around throwing every plastic thing you have away.
Just try to do as best as you can.
If you see a glass cup, drink out of that instead of the plastic cup.
If you’re at the store and see some tee tree or olive soap, use that instead of the commercially used brand.

You don’t have to take it too far,but just do your best.

If I’m at the store,I’ll buy some natural mint toothpaste or olive/tee tree soap,or lemon grass shampoo.

I’ll use more glass instead of plastic and I’ll also try to use organic produce because of the pesticides(more xenoestrogens).
Just by doing those small things alone will help you tremendiously.

As for the Rez-V,I’ve been using it for it’s other health benefits, but I have noticed some great results already since I’ve been taking it for two months.
It’s one of those supplements you have to use for more than a month to see the benefits.

points well taken.

now, what if i just store chicken in the fridge in a plastic container? does the chicken rub against the plastic, and then the xenoestrogens stick to the chicken? if that’s it, could i just wrap the chicken up in a paper towel and place it in the plastic tupperware container?

The xenoestrogens are only released via heating, I believe. This is what was covered in that last article by Roussell.

But as I remember from a Berardi article, the overview of one part was:

If you’re not eating the right foods or eating your meals on time, you shouldn’t be worrying about what you store them in.

Some of the previous replies have shown a consistant theme: be aware but don’t go overboard. Use some common sense. And it’s heat that releases most of the obnoxious compounds from the plastic we use with our food. There are many other sources of these compounds that you’re exposed to everyday.

some people take things to the extreme. I am still gonna use plastic containers and water bottles, the convenience far outweighs the negatives, at least for me. That and I have Rez-V, great stuff.

cool, glad this has all been some pretty positive feedback (and yes, i WAS looking for people to agree with me, cuz it’s nuts to let this sorta thing take over your life like it can.) Well I don’t heat anything up anyways, just grill all my chicken for the week and put it in plastic containers, then eat the chicken cold (nasty and no taste, but i don’t care about taste). Guess it works out fine then

I might be reading this all wrong, but height, weight, bodyfat %, and supplements are the smallest issue when it comes to xenoestrogens and/or estrogen.

If that’s all one worries about, then I dunno what to say. REZ-v is offered by Biotest as one decently potent way to take care of things. Costly perhaps, but I get money back everytime I purchase supplements. It’s a lucky benefit that comes with my health plan.

Mentioning that, there are others that live for more than body manipulation and do not accept the whole “we have no choice but to eat from plastics”. They still sell non-plastics in WalMart and Costco. The choices are there.

In other words, the sh*t ain’t hard to do. imo, Much easier than establishing good nutritional habits. If one wants to complain about month to month purchases of REZ-V, there wasn’t anything wrong to take one per day, stretching out the supply over a 72 day period. That is unless your nutrition is not an ideal anti-estrogenic diet. Then yeah 36 days appears like a short fall.

I think you are getting worked up over nothing. The purchasing of this supplement is no different that purchasing other supplements from Biotest or any other manufacturer. Why don’t you complain about Flameout next. A 22 day supply…wow. How about Caffeine-Free Spike? Damn thing is sold out already, people are hard up about Spike more than they are about anti-estrogen supplements.

Out of interest, can you be more specific? What benefits have you seen, please?

I completely agree with the original post. I think it’s too much to worry about, though I guess something good to keep in mind. When you buy bread it comes in plastic, when you buy ground beef it does. I guess you could theoretically buy fresh bread every time and go hunt your own meat or something, these things just aren’t practical.

And how do you avoid plastics for drinking? It just doesn’t seem possible. Where in this country can you buy a gallon of milk in a glass container? Or bottled water? Even Brita filters put the water into a plastic container. It just seems to me like one of those things not worth worrying about.

I think some of you people are retarded and don’t know how to read.

Nobody said you can’t drink out of plastic or shouldn’t wrap food in plastic. I’ve never seen anyone say that.

However, you apparently shouldn’t heat things in plastic or drink hot liquids from plastic. How freaking hard is that to deal with?

It’s a waste of time to think about those who worry too much about plastics.

Limiting use of plastics is very simple to do. If you rather live life comfortable, then that being your choice are you trying to make a change in anything?

Yes, that’s what I took from the article. I have been storing and heating in plastic for quite some time. Now after reading that article I am going to invest in some glass containers to heat in. I will still transport in plastic, but heating after next payday will be in glass and I use REZ-V.

In regard to taking it too far, I think the evidence in this case is strong enough to warrant buying some relatively inexpensive glass to be on the safe side.

Are Styrofoam cups part of this group? If so I guess coffee should not be drunk from them.

Here’s more reasons to lose the plastics…

Cancer News from Johns Hopkins:

  1. No plastic containers in micro.
  1. No water bottles in freezer.
  1. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don’t freeze
your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the
plastic.

Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle
Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked
about dioxins and how bad they are for us.

He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using
plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He
said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin
into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or
ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without
the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc.,
should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper
isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s just safer to use
tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of
the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food

is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.

Cover food with a paper towel instead. make sure it is a solid white paper towel - do not use one with printed designs or patterns.

This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life!

why, is the non-toxic vegetable ink going to leech out and kill us. seriously, this scare tactic shit is bothering me, don’t heat the damn things, end of story. use LDPE, HDPE and PP. these are the main containers most foods come in anyway. if you want to use glass and save money, just save up jars or go buy a box of mason jars or something.

After all it is a lot easier to worry about xenoestrogens than eating processed grains, processed fats and sugars, because then we don’t have to change our feeding behavior, but we do get feel like we are doing something about it.

Well, for one thing,I’m never a person to put too much trust into supplements.
But since I’m bulking and working out hard I stacked aplha male,TRIBEX,and rez-v,although I started rez-v a few months prior to the stack.

I felt like I had better energy, and when I hit the weights my workouts were much better.
My skin around my chest area started looking more toned(and I’m already at a pretty low bf 11% and bulking).
Some good results for the first month and a half.Obviously you’d have to take it much longer to experience results since it’s that kinda supplement.
In my opinion,it would be the most effective when stacked with HOT-ROX Extreme when cutting.

Dude, bad news for ya… Tea tree oil has phytoestrogens (so too lavender oil):

I do the same thing too, cold chicken! We’re a couple sick bastards, ain’t we… Anyways, make sure your chicken has cooled to room temp before putting it in those plastic containers.

Also, I’d been using a plastic turkey baster on my weekly, roasted whole chicken. Then I realized, “WTF am I doing!”, putting scalding chicken grease into a xenoestrogen tube then shooting it all over the bird. Lol at that!

Anybody know anything about this product and if it really is safe to use in the oven / microwave?

I watched the whole info-mercial for it, but they never addressed this issue.

Anyone?
