Is there really a difference between the $17 Inzer Iron Z wraps and those sold over at Elitefts for more or less double the price? And if the Elitefts one’s are in fact better are there differences amongst the three variety’s they sell.
I need to get something thats for sure. I’m doing 2 board presses with 315-335 for triples and pin press / rack outs with 385-405 for triples as well and man are my poor little wrists taking a beating.
Get the Inzers. I personally know a few 500lb+ pressers who swear by them. And look at the IPF guys, they seem to be backing them!
If you’re talking about the Metal black line wraps, I think they loads of small pieces of rubber in the fabric which makes them springier. Which isn’t an advantage when it comes to wrist wraps. Now if we were talking knee wraps it might be a different story.
I have the Metal Black and like them. I also have some Inzers as well. The Metals “suck up” onto your wrist better IMO and I can really crank them good.
I would depend it on how you are with the cash. If you have the cash and it is no big deal, get the Metals. If it seems kinda expensice, go with Inzer.
I’ve got the 20" APT ZRV-Pro’s and I like them quite a bit. My only regret is that I didn’t get the 36". Of course, you can’t go wrong w/ Inzer, either.
Yeah I mean if they’re all about equal I might as well get the Inzers. However, I was hoping to hear overwhelming support for the Metal ones because I was also looking to acquire some Blue Heat and that would give me one stop shopping.
BTW, anyone have experience with the three different varieties of the Metal?

I have experience with the Metal all black and the double black lines. The all black are decent wraps and the strongest they carry.
However…my pick (over Metal, Titan, and Inzer, as I have tried them all) is APT. Get the 24" Black Mambas. I use them (and the ZRV-Pro) in training and have the 36" for competitions. By far the best wrap on the market, IMO. http://www.prowriststraps.com/inc/sdetail/35674
I’ll go out on a limb and say Inzer’s as well. I tweaked my left wrist front squatting the other day, and had to have some support last night for chest and shoulders.
My training partner had a set of inzers, and my gosh they were sick. It was so tight I literally could not move my wrist, and my hand was going numb. I cannot imagine much more support. I’m going to order a set today along with the elbow sleeves.

Out of curiosity, why the Black Mambas over the ZRV’s? I’ve only used the ZRV’s, which are supposed to be their top of the line. What do you like better about the Mambas?
The Metal triple-line wraps are good and the all-black wraps are great. But honestly, as long as you have enough material and wrap your wrists tight, I don’t think you will see enugh difference between those and the Z-wraps to warrant the addtional cost. Ditto with the THPs and Titaniums (both about the same price as Inzer. Never used the APT wraps so I can’t say one way or the other on them.

I’d like to hear as well. I might get some and check them out, never used APT wraps before.
Yes, I realize I am bringing a 2+ year old post back to life…
I just got a pair of the 24" ZRV-Pro from EliteFTS and so far I am not a big fan. They are thicker and stronger than the Z wraps but the thickness makes them bulky and awkward. It is also easier to vary the level of tightness on the Z wraps from snug all the way to cranked. The ZRV are either loose, tight, or “Oh, shit I can’t feel my fingers!”.
I still want to try the Metal all black. If all else fails I will just get another set of Z wraps as my old ones have served me well for the last 10 years!
You mean wrist straps? Like the nylon or cotton straps you wrap around a bar? APT makes some pretty sturdy ones for about US$15-20. Spud Straps makes these really thick, tough straps that will likely outlast your lifting career for a bit more. Seriously- it’s tow strap material for pulling cars- crazy durable. However, the ones I tried were new and very stiff and did not really lock into the bar very well.

Hmmm that’s the second APT recommendation[/quote]
I used to own Inzer stuff for wrist and knee wraps and now all I wear is APT. It is cheaper and is WAY better quality. I own a pair of blue mambas and the strangulators. Both are great wraps and will be rock solid for you as long as you get them in 24". Wraps shorter than that are worthless. I promise you wont be disappointed.
Fwiw (and I doubt it will be worth much) the Velcro on my APT wrist wraps sucks for female wrists. I get maybe an inch of overlap/grip whereas I get 2+ with my inzers.
I’m a Big Fan of my Inzers for everything. I only use the APTs when I forget the inzers at home.
