Wrist Roller

Used one of these in the gym the other day for the first time since maybe high school, loved it and am now looking to buy one in the near future. My forearm mass and strength sucks, but how would you guys recommend working this into a program once or twice a week at the end of a workout? Could only wrap and unwrap it three times with I think 7.5 lbs. on there, should I aim for even less weight and more reps? Felt like significant TUT as it was.

I made a perfectly good one out of about ten bucks worth of stuff at the hardware store and use it to do wrist curls at the end of back and bi’s day because forearms are already primed from all the grip n pull work. Works great for me.

Could you tell me what you used to make yours as mine has recently broken cause I use 35kg weight and can’t think what I could use that would be strong enough?

18" of 1-1/2" to 2" PVC. 5 feet of 3/8 nylon rope. Drill a 3/8 hole in the middle of the PVC. Push rope through hole in PVC, pull out of the end and tie a knot. Pull the rope back through, the knot will keep the rope from coming all the way out. Use a loading pin or tie wieghts to free end of rope. That’s it.

I improved it with piece of bowflex handle, but pretty much in essence like the other guy said.

I used a hot screwdriver to melt the nylon to keep it from untying. Took maybe 15 minutes and works as good as anything you can buy. The materials could be just anything that matches the parts and designs could vary a bit too.
