Would You Rather (Street Fight Edition)

The correct term would be mutual combat.

That would be a mistake. I mean, it’s one thing to say bjj black belt with zero fighting experience but one with a lot of experience, that’s a problem if you don’t know how to fight, regardless of a 50 pound advantage. We only need to look at the early days of the UFC to see what real fighting knowledge and experience mean when the opponent is a lot bigger but ignorant.

For me the question would be whether or not the BB was just a sport bjj nerd or knew how to use bjj when it’s a real fight. As mentioned, bjj BB is a vague description.

As far as an untrained guy with 50 pounds on me? He better hope I end up on top so I can just hold him down until he gives up from exhaustion because if I end up on my back he’s probably going to have a limp for the rest of his life.

For once I’m somewhat in agreement with zecarlo.

You would have a puncher’s chance with the 2 legit BJJ black belts I’ve sparred with in that weight ballpark. They both fought professionally in MMA, one all the way down at 135. You’d likely be doomed if it went to the ground. You would not be the first really strong dude these guys have tangled with. They aren’t weak at all, even if you can out-lift them by what seems to be a big margin.

Your best bet would be to focus on staying on your feet and fight like hell or run the fuck away. These guys know more than you can imagine about how to break you down by exhausting your body, mind and spirit, destroying your limbs and choking you to death using their entire body. Plus they are tough as nails and can take quite a beating.

If you really want to know the answer, you can always seek out the baddest room in your area.

I casted my vote with a different train of thought I think. I voted for fighting the black belt who I outweigh.

Between the two options, I imagine I’m more likely to win the fight against the larger person. I’ve had enough training to know how to protect myself from an untrained fighter at a minimum. But, that’s gonna be a pretty big dude and when it comes down to it I’m probably going to take some damage in order to win. If I were to lose to this big fella, I’m probably going to get pretty messed up when he pounds my head in.

That black belt though, I’m probably not going to win that fight. Sure, punchers chance and all, but my man is probably going to choke my ass out. I’ll wake up a few seconds later no worse for wear, take a minute to acknowledge that I shouldn’t have started shit with the guy sporting vegetables for ears, and hopefully have enough time to finish my light beer before the bouncer escorts me out.

This is a little too Christian Grey for me, but different strokes for differently blokes - right?

Wait, that came out wrong…

I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean.

Can I go with option C?
Fight them both at the same time.

This way later on when I’m telling the story it’ll be “yeah I only lost coz there were two of them!”

The fact either could have beaten me will be ignored and I can hold my head up high (when the brace comes off…)

This is without question my favorite answer here.

50lbs more than me would be around 175lbs and since it’s muscle that person sounds pretty ripped.

But, I’m still going with this answer because i can just keep running around until this person gets worn out.

I don’t think I could wear out the trained, little dude.

“Keep running little girl, sooner or later one of us is going to run out of gas”

Someone said that to me once. I’ll use that logic here. Except that person was in a car, HAHA. What a weird memory.

Oops,
Ok so yes, big person. I’ve seen this on a BBC nature show narrated by Attenborough.
The gazzelle or w/e actually was able to wear out the lion or w/e and it gave up.
Granted, i think the lion was already frail by this point and probably didn’t have the normal stamina.
I’m no gazelle, but I’m certainly closer to a gazelle than a lion.

Picked 50lbs heavier, because that means I’m tousling someone who’s 235-240ish. I’m 185-190 My ex husband was that weight at 6 foot 1, and it was challenging to wrestle him mostly due to his black belt experience, but if I pretzeled him he’d tap out. If they’re tall I’m doing my best to mangle them from the waist down, if they’re my height or mid height it’s fair game depending on who’s got enough energy, OR, who’s just THAT afraid for their life.

Given weapons aren’t an option just bare hands and body weight. If….IF, I can get my legs around them, I’m strangling them to death, and I’ll cry while doing it. Questions like these put me in fight flight. I’ve been assaulted before so my mind immediately goes to self defense. Ive been rocked in the face with malicious intent, so I’d rather protect my face and let the neck down take the rest of the force.

Granted, I know it’s street fighter edition, so if it’s straight up consent from both parties (in a way), me versus another woman, or a hurt to maim situation….I’m….still gonna try to strangle them like…70%? Lol

Nope to the experienced fighter. They’re gonna hit me in that insanely weak spot near my shoulder or my sciatica ridden knee, and I’m gonna ascend into the heavens.

I just ran across this thread sorry.
My $0.02 is, I’d rather not do Force on Force and if you make me, remember I do it too survive not to win, so no holds are barred, no rules, I just want to get home safe and won’t care if you do if you’re trying to stop me from it. Be advised

I chose the more muscular guy bc experience matters. However, I have to state that street fighting is very hazardous, and if you do it, you will almost certainly get hurt.
There is a phrase that is almost axiomatic as well:

“There is nothing more dangerous than one scared man.”
So, don’t scare me!
