Worst Movie Of All Time

Never even bothered with that one. I got through about 15 minuets of Biker Boys.

You have to see Torque just so you have something to compare it to. It had potential to be great because the basic storyline is decent:

Sportsbike rider gets framed for stealing thousands of dollars worth of dope and bails to Asia. When he returns, for the woman he loves, he ends up with the FBI and the real dope dealer on his tail after he gets framed for the murder of a member of a rival biker gang.

Had that been done any more real, it could have been classic. Instead, they overdo the special effects to the point that these guys are like superheroes on motorbikes doing shit that is fucking impossible for even the most experienced stunt rider with one liners that just kill it.

Still though, I’ve watched it many times just because of the bikes in it.
Jamie Pressley herself makes that movie worth watching. God, she is sexy in it!

Worst of all time: Alexander

They took the story of the greatest conquerer of all time and reduced it to a story of a dude who liked to give it to his best friend, when he wasn’t acting like a bitch. Such a dissapointment.

Greatest of all time: Gladiator

I have to invoke the rule of “Crowe Infallability” he just gets the best movies.

Especially when compared with the awesomeness that was “Gettysburg”
Good call. Hopefully “Last Full Measure” will end the trilogy on the right foot.

Worst Mainstream Movies:

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

What?? How can you not like that movie, if only for the artistry and imagery.

Because it is beyond silly. I couldn’t get past people flying all over the place.

I don’t care how well it was filmed, it sucked.

I san see why you’d say it’s silly, it’s obviously not mainstream. The flying bit touched on the oneness of the mind and body, not some superhero powers. It reminds me of teachings about chi and about mental strength vs physical.

I think you would have to have at least some background in it to understand that aspect of it. I never even considered it to be some take on superpowers so I am a little surprised that someone viewed it and considered it “beyond silly”.
Agreed. I grew up watching the cheesy traditional Chinese kung fu movies on TV, so when I saw Hero and Kung Fu Hustle I was really blown away by how well it was done. If these are on people’s worst movie list they really haven’t seen any stinkers!!

Clueless and Sex and the City?? These are awesome!! (though men are definitely not their target audience)

Worst movie:
Glitter,
The Sweetest Thing (with Cameron Diaz, Selma Blair, Christina Applegate),
Tomb Raider 1 and 2,
Gone in 60 Seconds

I actually can’t think of one Angelina Jolie movie I enjoyed besides from Hackers.

I also hated Meet the Parents (had to stop the DVD 30 mins in, as it was painfully slow and unfunny). I liked Zoolander though.

How is it that you guys got through 5 pages of responses without anyone chiming in about what has to be the WORST MOVIE EVER…

“Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.” DAMN, that movie SUCKED.
Ah come on, the scene where he gets the scissors in the eye at least made it semi-watchable.

Silent Running

A guy walks around on a space ship talking to plants for 90 minuets. Shit you I not.
This sounds about as exciting as Solaris, another awful movie.

Another absolutely piece of crap is Supernova, kept waiting for some big revelation, never came dammit!
Massif wrote:
Jonny Mnemonic (sp?)

Worst movie ever.

Starship Troopers rocked ass. I can’t believe people are writing that off. It was nearly as good as Eight Legged Freaks.
Yes! Johnny Mnemonic is the WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN. Man I have sat through some awful shit - but that movie was so bad I wanted to burn the reel. I am still angry I paid to see that junk.

-Moulin Rouge…I almost vomited in my own mouth while watching. It was like watching a car accident, so ugly and painful I couldnt turn away. I believe I was being tortured. Forget the bamboo shoots and pliers, use that movie.

-The Talented Mr. Ripley-enough said. I got up and yelled in the theatre cause it was so bad.

-Battlefield Galatica - oh cmon you cant tell me someone hasnt named this suck fest yet. I believe this movie got 3 or 4 raspberry awards. Gosh it was bad.

-Wing Commander- I second this movie. Talk about bad.

But…Angela Bassett was in it. I’ve seen it 4 times.

Oops meant Battlefield Earth. Blah.

you see right there, that’s what i like about these threads. i thought zoolander was crap, but i liked meet the parents. it would be interesting to combine the personality profiles with the worst/best movies. then instead of rating a movie pg-13 or r, they could rate it enfp, or intj.

My dislike of “Meet the Parents” probably has something to do with empathy. If you begin to empathize with the main character, when he acts like more and more of an ass, that is painful. “Zoolander” doesn’t cause this problem because it is essentially a live-action cartoon. Damn, that’s introspective.

Magnolia with Tom Cruise. Dreadful.

This honestly has to be in the top ten worst of all times, I’m still pissed about paying to see this and it was 10 years ago. Damn you Ted!!

Also ‘SIGNS’ is fucking awful - the alien / priest movie from the dude who wrote ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘The Sixth Sense’

I have no idea why this film is well recieved. This movie is absolute garbage! A film that is ridiculously simple - one man’s loss and recovery of faith in God - somehow woven into a ridiculous plot with aliens from planet wherever, and a baseball bat.

BAD TIMES

Has anyone mentioned “Dirty Dancing”

THE ROAD TO WELLVILLE.A MOVIE ABOUT ENEMAS!!!

I guess the destination wasn’t so final if there were 3 of them
dmanatan wrote:

Actually, it was. If you give that movie credit for anything, it has to be the way it killed everybody off. Even the girl who escaped death to link the sequel died. I think the lesson was “death don’t play”.

That movie may have stunk but it still had one of the most powerful lines to date as uttered by Tom Cruise himself.
