Worst Movie Of All Time

I saw a movie on the pay channels a few months ago that was made in 1976. It was based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs books about Pellucidar, the world under the earth’s crust.

It was cheesy, terrible, and poorly made. The books were actually decent.

They had these psychic bird guys that just flapped their wings and did mind control on the poor slob regular villager types. It looked as if they were dressed in costumes from the old Land of The Lost.

No movie has ever sucked like this movie. None.

My vote goes to a tie. Between The Village and Dar Water. To think something could suck so bad from the guy who gave us Signs and Sixth Sense. Then Dark Water in the crappy apartment with the ghost kid. We almost demanded our money back on this one.
Life Aquatic is not far off either.

Anybody see “The Medallion”?

I can’t say enough bad things about “Coffee and Cigarettes”. The only good thing i can say is NOT to watch it.

I actually thought The Village was decent, it just wasn’t “action packed” and wasn’t a standard “horror movie”. The overall story line wasn’t bad and if it had been a Twilight Zone Episode probably would have been pegged as one of the best, but then that is only my opinion.

I just saw another contender this week!

A Dirty Shame by John Waters.

BAD, even by John Waters standards.

‘Return of the video dead’

Oops meant Battlefield Earth. Blah.

I read your post about being surprised that no one had mentioned this one. I listed it a few pages earlier. From articles I’ve read and people I know as well as my own opinion, it seems that this and Gigli are the two most widely renowned terrible movies.
I must have missed it…oops…

Hudson Hawk

Leonard Part 6

Open Range

That is all,

GAINER

oh yeah another movie that positively wasted my popcorn was blair witch project, aka 3 idiots get lost in the woods and die.

How Bush saved New Orleans.

Hey gojira,

Are you going to see the new Peter Jackson King Kong? the trailers look pretty good,
Much better than the 1976 crappy version.

Probably not. I know how it ends. Hated the first one because of this. My sympathies lie with the poor beast.

My favorite Godzilla movie is Godzilla vs Detroyer.

Ah, that one broke my heart too. Have you seen any of the later ones like Godzilla 2000 or Tokyo SOS? Quite good. What folks don’t appreciate about these movies is that they are all done with guys in rubber suits and very intricate models. Final Wars was great. They blatently ripped off a number of sci-fi flicks. We had fun naming them (the Matrix, Star Wars, Independence Day…). There’s a great behind the scenes feature on the DVD too.

Saw Godzilla 2000, but not Tokyo SOS. I’m watching ‘Destroy All Monsters’ as we speak.

No kidding I was pulling for all to be butchered. Especially the loud mouth gal.

I loved that movie, was a young Don Johnson in a post apocalyptic world and he could telepathically communicate with his dog. very interesting ending.

Another movie I absolutely fell asleep in was Final Fantasy, might have understood it better if I’d played the video games but couldn’t get into it at all.

ON EDIT: did it again! was trying to quote someone who hated “boy and his dog.”

They Live; starring “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

Aliens have infested Earth, and he can see them with his special sunglasses! Oooohhh…

Sucks ass!

I was going to use that one - but I think I have already said something about Breakin’ 2 in another thread a couple of months back.

But I agree. That movie absolutely blows chunks.
You did indeed!

There you have it, folks. True cinematic art…that absolutely blows chunks.

Sound like something the National Endowment for the Arts would sponsor.

WHAT?! This is a MASTERPIECE! First off: the fight scene between Rowdy Roddy and David Keith (the black guy who fucks Jennifer Connoly in “Requiem for a Dream”) is amazing. It goes on so long it’s funny, then boring, then funny, then awesome in the biblical sense, then funny again.

Plus, RRP utters the immortal line, “I came here to kick ass and chew bubble-gum. And, I’m all out of bubble-gum.”

I agree. Dumb movie, but the way and methods with which they kill the characters off is pretty much about an 8 out of 10. Same idea with “The Evil Dead”

Dirty Dancing is probably OK for you ladies, but it’s one of the worst chick flicks that you make guys sit through!!!
