I know that after 4-6 weeks of the same routine that its ability to work the muscles stagnates and you may hit a plateau, well I was wondering if there was a way to eliminate that problem forever, for me at least. Instead of changing routines every 4-6 weeks, what if I were to give myself a list of about 10 different exercises to do for each muscle group, and then when I work out, just choose a random 4-5 exercises. That way no workout is exactly the same, and it will keep it interesting for me. Does anyone see a problem with this? Would I not benefit as much from my workouts because I’m constantly changing it even if I keep up the same intensity? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!
Waterbury says instead of changing your whole routine just change the sets and reps for each exercise. Read the Waterbury method article.
