I’m terribly new, I just joined. Hi. One starting question I have is what kind of music do you all listen to while pumping iron? I would like to know what gets everyone pumped up and ready to workout. If you have a certain genre you like a lot, give me a new group names from it so I can get some new tunes. Thanks in advance.
Como, Williams, Dorsey, Goodman…you know…
Anything that revs you up. I have an ipod shuffle, I’ve got some Linkin Park, (hed)pe, some Daft punk, I’m all over the place!
if you really want to get pumped i suggest n’sync or backstreet boys. possibly even nkotb. but only if you really want it.
Music that pumps me up…hmmmm
Depends on the period in my life, I listen to punk (real punk) anti-flag, the ducky boys, dropkick murphys, DRI, Operation Ivy, Agnostic Front, Skrewdriver. I prefer wicked heavy shit, From Autumn To Ashes, Godsmack, Boys Sets Fire, Iron Maiden, Metallic, Breaking Benjamin, Skindred, Saliva, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Manntis, Sicks Deep, etc.
Surprised I’m the first person to mention Henry Rollins.
Oh, and I couldn’t have started lifting without Disturbed and Rammstein.
System of a Down, Mushroomhead, and Korn
Theres like a hundred of this treads, search for it and you’ll find some good music to listen to.
I just found Trivium. Metal but catchy.
Rush, Kid Rock, Blink 182, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Rush, Creed, Guns and Roses, Boston, Bad Company, Van Halen, Deep Purple, Ted Nugent, Sweet,… old school, classic heavy and hard rock and roll!
Social Distortion…
Metallica, Rammstein, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon, Creed, G-n-R, Ramones, Ted Nugent, Van Halen, Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth - to name a few.
Fear Factory, Devildriver (new album is great), The Crown, Terror 2000, Pro-Pain gets me goin sometimes too…I listen to mostly thrash/death metal.
hey i like some of these bands out here…slipknot, TRIVIUM…god i thoughh ti was the only person who listened to that. those are two i like, i also like THROWDOWN (listen to the song “forever” by them), hatebreed, throw in some slayer, godsmack, soilwork, strapping young lad, ill nino, disturbed, “eye of the tiger” rocky. lol. anything really heavy basically. maybe sometimes dmx and tupac…but it all depends on how im training…i like to stick with the heavy shit though.
oh yes can’t forget about system of a down.
The Crystal Method
I thought training music was silence itself…

I sincerly believe that this was sarcasm, but it still pains me that Rush is mentioned in the same thread as those mentioned here (I can’t bring myself to repeat their names).
