Lee Priest saying the most infantile, dumbass shit. Here we have a grown man providing us with the wisdom of a 13 year old! What makes it particularly funny is here in this video we have a man going through the rigors of pre-contest prep and has single-digit bodyfat percentage while belittling people who want to look good year round. How bad - people want to look good year round rather than walk around like lardasses so they can gorge on whatever drug and food they want. Heaven forbid some people have discipline and feel like fitting in clothes and getting laid.
What’s even more infantile is his “we’re all gonna die anyway” spiel - a spiel often touted by morons and pre-pubescent wiseasses. According to him, I should get my rocks off, because after all, I know a dust-head who’s still living and hasn’t wound up in a mental institution. I should also eat like a slob because my last day on earth might be tomorrow, never mind that I’d like to feel good WHILE I AM alive.
You’re reading too much into that little rant. What I got from it was Lee saying you have to “Enjoy life” and do what you want to do.
A lot of guys, I know a few, don’t have any passion for lifting or eating good food. They’re the same guys you see in gym alternating curls with front raises every time you see them. These people aren’t like you, me or Priest, they don’t enjoy the process and could give a shit about it. They’re there because of they feel pressure to don a six pack and sport big guns, perhaps for social recognition, whatever.
If you’re not doing something you want to do, you’re going to half-ass it, so why bother?
If eating garbage and being a fatass genuinely makes you happy, great (I think you’re an idiot but you shouldn’t care). If looking like Brad Pitt in… Troy is what you want, go for it. If you want to look like Coleman or squat a ton or run a mean 40, power to ya (you’re my kind of guy).

He was either being truthful or trying to fend off some up and comers
You missed the point anyway. His point was to enjoy your life. If you’re really happy doing what you’re doing, then keep on doing it. If not, change it, don’t be a slave to convention or an artificial sense of health or prosperity.
I agree wholeheartedly with Lee Priest in this respect.
On a sidenote, you don’t seem like a very happy person Brick?

I think perhaps sometimes my writings come out intense and dramatic. It’s a habit. I’m not an unhappy person at all. Actually, most people know me as a smiley, friendly, humorous, and caring person. Actually, I just got back from socializing with some people at nice place here in Queens.

He’s a pro bodybuilder saying “Get over the looks thing.” Hysterical!

Have you seen pictures or videos of him in the off season? He’s clearly not one to care about really lean or anything like that. Obviously he has to diet down for the shows, but his motivation might be money, to be the best, whatever - he is almost definitely not just dieting down for shows to look good especially since the majority of the time he does not look like that.
I also felt it was directed at guys who are interested in the sport as a “dont fret about gaining some fat, who cares” OR he meant it as a “don’t hit the gym/etc to look good for other people” and I don’t know about anyone else but if that was my goal I would not be aiming to look like a pro bodybuilder as my perception is people do not think they look good.

Didn’t he get a tattoo on his face?
That’s pretty stupid.
To you, maybe.
And myself. But he obviously wanted it, and he went out and got it. It’s actually pretty consistent with his attitude in this vid. He definitely doesn’t care about what people think about him, which is great.
I think getting tattoos like that show that you care too much about how people think about you. They try to use their tattoos to make people form specific opinions about them, such as them being hardcore and really original. Guffaw.
And we can have little debates about tattoos, that can happen anywhere and both sides have their points and all that, but come on man, it’s on his face. His face.
To boil it down, putting on your face is an extreme, so the reason is most likely an extreme. He either cares too much, like you say, or he could give a shit. He strikes me as the latter, but I could be wrong.

I see you as leatherface, but instead of high school girls you kill noobs who over-analyze their training and nutrition.

If it means anything Brick-dude. I never took you as a ‘miserable’ person.
You are serious, on this site, but that’s just you here, and you probably can and have been ‘lighter’ , on this very site, people just seem to brand others with ( their own interpretations of ) some ones most consistent ‘face.’
People are not 1, or even 3 dimensional, it’s really more like 12 dimensional.
You got some nutz, criticizing Priest like this, too. I respect that you have a pair.

OP reeks of jealousy. For whatever reason.
You cant insult a guy’s intelligence simply because he has a different outlook on this whole thing than you do. It’s silly.
I agree with you so far as Brick’s criticisms, were ironically unintelligent and merciless, while attempting to take-down Priests intelligence, and narrow mindedness.
I don’t see jealousy. I see strong opinions, butting heads.
It’s gonna happen, especially on the ragernet.
I wish Priest would show up and they could debate, as it stands it’s just Brick vs Priest, with Priest nowhere to be seen to defend himself.
