Women Love Free Weights

Yeah, people who are all legs can’t make depth, we get it. Of course, my 6’4" husband, with his 34" inseam, patellar reconstruction, and ACL reconstruction, can make depth. This is a forum dominated by powerlifters, not bodybuilders or fitness enthusiasts. Go do your partials in the BB forum.

I am just saying… no need to be hostile…I am simply saying that there is a reason…I can make depth too with 650…I can go to my ankles…I was just saying it hurts AND citing physics…calm down.

is that ouroboro?? she’s a badass!!

BTW I dont use a weight belt nor knee wraps…just saying.

I’m not hostile, and I’m perfectly calm. I didn’t come into your forum and tell you you’re wrong for thinking power curtseys are superior. Until the individual in that video, or her trainer, says “she has an injury,” there’s no excuse to squat high. Especially in a powerlifters’ forum.

And yes Sindie, that’s ouroboro, our resident stork/freak.

As for the comment about wraps/belts, you are dealing with powerlifters, not gym bunnies. While Sindie/Brute_fury has some of the best lifts I’ve ever seen with absolutely no equipment, there are a few of us who are unabashed equipment whores. If you want to start a raw/equipped debate, I suggest you do it elsewhere.

Ma’am no debate from this end. Just commented on some of the post. I am in the wrong and I apologize. No need to call names or be little anyone, no matter what their gym discipline is…you have schooled me on your views…thank you. I look forward to seeing you in compettions soon! You are a beast! Your video is inspirational.

Oh, that video was ouroboro_s, one of the posters here. I can’t take credit for her long legs. I’m one of the genetically gifted powerlifters (that is, short limbed!). My next meet is the IPF/NAPF in Puerto Rico in August. I’ll work on getting some training vids up again…it’s been too long. I’m probably squatting 3" high.

I will look for you… thanks for the info and insight!

Wow, I take a day off and miss all the fun.

One reason, tadashidavis, that we harp on depth is that for those of us who compete, breaking the parallel plane (hence, squatting deep) is required for the lift to count.

If it hurts you to squat to depth, tadashidavis, maybe you should find out what’s structurally preventing you from doing so.

Thanks you for the clarification. Like I said yesterday I apologize for the remarks, my ignorance got the best of me and I now know the differences and WHY you guys stress depth. After yesterday and watching the videos of thhe ladies squatting, I adopted a wider stance and no pain!

Wow, that chick has some long sexy legs. hahaha. Sadly, I don’t think those squats were deep enough. Maybe the 300 was but the double at 280? meh. I know the guy behind her appreciates the long legs.
