I’m 5’9", weigh 203 lbs, and currently eat in a caloric surplus while working out 4 days a week. I’m considering starting a 20-week cycle of 500mg of testosterone cypionate per week. My main question is: will this cycle lead to substantial improvements in my physique, or will the gains primarily become visible once I cut weight given my current body fat?
How old are you? You look like you e never been to a gym. If you want to improve yourself first drop some body fat. You should not even be thinking of taking drugs in your condition.
I’ll add this. Drugs are about 5% of the equation. Gains are made in the gym and at the dinner table.
Try a slow cut without AAS. Your goal is to see a small amount of muscle separation in a few body parts. In other words, make those pics you posted obviously look like you lift weights. This could take 6 to 9 months. There is no rush.
Far too many people want to add muscle even at the expense of looking like they lift weights.
Thank you for the advice! I’m feeling a bit anxious about cutting because I can still see my ribs quite a bit, and I’ve never really considered myself fat—maybe just a little tubby. Here’s a better photo. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I do see some muscle separation. I really can’t be that fat, right?
I used to be very frequent at the gym, but recently, after experiencing sudden weight gain from having a child and moving to a sedentary job, I’ve truly committed to getting back into fitness.
Also, please check out my recent photo with better lighting. While I may not have an ideal body composition, I believe the earlier photos were a bit misleading.
I have eggs every morning and steak almost every night. I only drink diet soda, and go on a daily 1.5 mile walk. I will have fast food at most 2x in a month.
I’m gonna go against the grain here and say Go For It. You’re already pretty jacked, and this will bring a lot of it out and take you to the next level.
What’s honestly a little worrisome is this is the comment he liked.
OP, as everyone has said, you’ve got a lot of natural gains sitting on the table. Drugs are a risk, as is high bodyfat (and,
I believe, weight in general); do you really want to combine the two?
no. losing 30lbs will lead to substantial improvements in your physique.
you have not demonstrated the ability to eat and train in a manner that leads to the body you want without 500mg test c. adding it will give you all the sides and none of the benefits.
you are not lean enough to purposely overeat to grow.
