Two of the most hardcore gyms in Manhattan are Steel Gym and 19th Street Gym (very homo).

Yea, I checked out Equinox and NYSC while I was up there for an internship last year. DIdn’t bother after seeing 1 squat rack at each place.

Went with a gym called Mid City Gym on 42nd and 9th, which had log presses, ropes, kettle bells, etc. It was a great gym, but I want to keep my options open.

Steel Gym seems pretty nice. 19th St Gym does not.
