Why the Hatred of the Lat Pulldown

Inverted rows are safer on shoulders and joints and target the lats better.

Pull ups are hardcore but not the best exercise.

Lat pulldowns are commonly used but most gym users would be better off doing inverted rows which can be scaled up to suit strength grow.

I don’t know about that, I weigh 250 and I can do about 15 with bodyweight, and that’s at the end of a full bench workout. I have been able to do at least 12-15 pull ups/chin ups since I weighed 190 or so, and wasn’t training for PL, as my bodyweight and strength increased I maintained the ability to do chin ups because I do them every week. There’s nothing wrong with lat pull downs and this is the PL forum, not crossfit or the chin up challenge, so it really doesn’t matter how many pull ups you can do with how much weight, but if you can’t do a decent number of pull ups it’s because either you are weak, fat, or just put much effort into doing them.

1000lb raw squats are hardcore. Pull ups? One step from diapers.

Ehh pretty much only do Pulldown. Pull ups flare up my elbows for some reason can do about 10-12 any day of the week just don’t see the point if bothering my bench and even squat. Also feel my lats much better with Pulldowns.

Usually when im doing squats I generally dont feel my ass growing but I do feel like im dying.

One hand pull ups are hardcorer. That sounds funny af.
