im on a diet to get sixpack, and lately ive been noticing that my belly is getting looser… the skin is hanging more loose around my waist… is this a result of recuced bodyfat? if so, will the skin tighten? im not that overweight to begin with, im guessing around 15% bodyfat… thanks for helping me.
First you’ve probably cleaned up your diet. That will instantly reduce bloating. (Instant meaning a few days. Before fat loss matters)
You’ve also reduced the volume of food so that will leave more space in your gut.
And lastly, depending on how long you’ve been on a reduce cal diet, you have lost fat. Visceral fat and subcutaneous fat.
You have nothing to worry about as far as skin tightening up. Some people have thick skin to begin with and don’t get that peeled look on their stomach until they reach extremely low levels of bodyfat.
Obese people who go through gastric bypass, lipo and stuff like that need to be concerned with excess skin.

I’ve read of a “woosh” effect where fat cells may empty out of triglycerides but fill up with water temporarily. It’s mainly speculation.
But it has happened to me too… loose fat is still better than dense fat, just keep at it then it goes away for real.[/quote]
