Why Is Everyone So Angry?

Good point, and it can all be broken down into one word “anonymity.”

I never have anonymous anger. It’s useless, and doesn’t give me the pleasure of getting right up in your face with my rage.

On the Internet no one really knows who you are so you are not on your best behavior. Many at least fall prey to this.

Actually it’s pretty sad commentary on human beings. But then again I was never a big believer in human beings doing the right thing on their own anyway…so I’m not disappointed.

I’m not sure this is true. My best behavior was never so good. Plus, I think I’m getting roid rage from taking creatine and Alpha Male.

this kid would wup your ass.

Oh happy day…

If anything I it just shows how people honestly are. And I’m not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.

You SUCK!

I was trying to be pissed off and you go and made me smile.

As I’ve previously stated my good sir, you SUCK!

“I am sick of tired of being told that I am sick of tired of being sick and tired. I am certainly not. And I am sick and tired of being told that I am.”

Somewhere along the way, people picked up on that, but since it’s easy to be an asshole, and hard to fake smarts…I guess maybe some people view it as a quicker way to put themselves on the T-Map than simply giving honest, solid advice on a day-to-day basis.[/quote]

I pretty much agree with all of this.

It’s so easy to be a dick, especially on the net. It takes real character to be patient and understanding.

ps go fuck yourself

If anyone gives a “C” what I think, I’d say a-holes on the internet either do it because they CAN, and get away unscathed (without reprisal) or because it’s extremely frustrating to be pissed off at an actual person while knowing full well that you cannot do a damn thing about it.

The last part is a very strange occurrance to us because for thousands of years we’ve had the ability to fight it out, run away or otherwise have control over a foe.

Here on the internet all we can do is… well nothing.

Good point.

But is it really a bad thing? Should the person who is the biggest, or who is trained to fight, or has a weapon automatically be right? Should only those who can exert control over a foe be able to voice an opinion, while everyone else has to agree or face unpleasant consequences?

Well it got us to where we are today, and i’m happy sitting in my air conditioned home after a huge workout in my awesome gym in the basement.

Maybe if that weak dude 4000 years ago “talked” it out instead of the huge dude killing him we would all be living in caves talking about our feelings…or maybe we would have flying cars by now…stupid weak nerds losing 4000 years ago.

Like what was already written, I believe that was the way things went.

I’m sure there were not debates about bodybuilding vs. powerlifting or Bush vs. JFK or whether gay should be allowed to marry.

It was a matter of how to best survive and/or reproduce etc.

I for one am glad the stronger
survived. The stronger willed included.

I’m not so confident that the best means of survival and reproduction are getting the win lately.

Yes! If survival of the fittest still ruled, not only would we all have very good genetics, we also wouldn’t have so much disease and sickness, OR a huge over-population problem.

But survival of the fittest doesn’t necessarily mean the most athletic or the strongest, or the biggest, it means the one most adapted to survive the environment/conditions it lives in. Just think we could be blobs like jellyfish with really poisonous stingers. Or like turtles or those pill bugs just existing due to armor/protection.

I’ve digressed haven’t I?

I disagree. There’s no way “we could be blobs like jellyfish” or any other form of life.

We’re human. And human survival meant the biggest, strongest, most adapted to survive combined with the most likely to reproduce.

It would seem that being the strongest and most well-adapted by definition meant that they were the ones that found mates as well.

I don’t believe one can compare one species’ survival methods with another species. When there were differences/arguements, the most bold, the most strong-willed, most powerful won. That sure seems to have been a swell recipe for survival all these thousands of years.

It’s sad to see how much “power” some total losers can wield over other people with the use of elections, positions in a company, bad cops, bad teachers, union bosses, celebrities etc.

These otherwise powerless people would most likely get thier asses kicked when survival meant something physical.

(That above was a gross generalization. I realize it’s not true in every case)
