Why Don't You Push Harder?

This is my, “why I push harder post”! I push harder to be the best me and be to better than the average mob! Because people tell me I’m crazy for still workoing out so hard after such a bad injury and so soon after surgery. Because I don’t want to be those people. Most of all it’s in my DNA. We should have a “WHY DO YOU PUSH HARDER” thread, might be more motivational and inspiring. Not bragging about my below workout because there is nothing to brag about, just tring to motivate myself and whoever else might need it… ALWAYS PUSH HARDER!!!

not a bodybuilder. Things that held me back in the past(not all at the same time… I would start, stop for one reason, start again, stop again and so on):

1)just lazy, wanted to sit home instead and eat dohnuts… okay it wasn’t dohnuts but you get the idea.
2) Went to workout bunch of times in a row and the coach didn’t come or something like that so I couldn’t train, coupled with Christmas I stopped and thats it. Probably the dumbest reason it doesn’t even make much sense.
3)Injury
4)Depressed cause gf dumped me
5)this one isn’t something that made me ever to stop completely, just to skip workouts on a daily basis… Not feeling well, whether its laziness, or bored, or kind of sad, or didn’t eat well enough, didn’t sleep well enough or even being sick. I’ve learnt… go to the gym, warm up, stretch, do the first set and THEN see how you feel. If you still feel bad, do slightly less volume/intensity, or rest longer or something like that.

Right now its been 4.5 months since I’ve started again after 8 months of no training. Been having trouble with an injury which held me back especially the first 3 months(it limited how often I could train, especially the jerk). I also had reached 121.5kgs bw (267lbs) before I started and pretty much had to start from scratch strength wise although I obviously have a decent amount of experience and knowledge so I knew what to do. Now I’ve so far lost about 20 pounds without much (diet) effort, am currently training as often as possible(average 5 days a week), and PRed a few days ago with 90kgs snatch, 105kgs c&j and 150kgs back squat.

Things that are holding me back now are school cause I need to study so I don’t have time to train more often, my injury which is still there although much better and last that 6 times a week is the maximum I can train(can’t train without coach for boring reasons I won’t tell you about). By next year most of these problems will be gone and I’ll be able to train more.

What keeps me going is the epic feeling of getting a PR… or simply just getting a bit better everyday. Maybe even just getting through the workout on a bad day is enough for me. I sure have learnt that a bad day in the gym is nothing to get depressed about, just getting through it is almost as good as getting a PR on a good day
