because you don’t learn how to drive in a formula 500 car.

and you don’t learn how to shoot with a .50cal sniper rifle

Shit I can (and have shot the .50cal, neighbor has one) do that, and I dont even do this DC thing, I also dont even know what that it. Im gonna go back to the strength sports collum now, byeess :-*
This is one of the least coherent posts I’ve seen on this site… seriously quit skipping your english classes you need them.

I just wanna look like Arnold…I know it’s never possible so I’m just going to keep trying.

I’d like to look like Arnold also.

I’ll settle for 5’10, 200lbs with single digit bodyfat.

 4. I think so!

 5. It’s the new 5x5 and they want to try it

 6. 170lbs guys can look like monsters If they train hard enough and fall into one of the following two categories:

a) are under 5" tall
b) are in a wheelchair

My opinion: food. I gain fat easily too. And what? I can drop that later. When I eat according to my appetite I loose fat. I have no problems with gaining muscle either, just I gain about the same amount of fat as muscle. But I think, if you’re careful and don’t become obese, you shouldn’t have any problems with loosing that fat.

You have to accept that 90% of the people will nevverr pack on significant amount of muscle without blurring-destroying their definition. So sit down, have a large meal and drink 1-2 shots of EVOO after every meal. : D

I laugh at retarded people.

Does that make me a monster?

I take offense at this. Skeletor was jacked. Now THAT guy looked like a monster.

The recovery is not needed if you squat 2 plates… this could be done 2-3x a week.

If however you squat 4 or more… then you are more in need of the recovery it affords.

This is coupled with the rest/pause protocol that DC uses - it takes a real toughness of character. Going to actual failure is honestly very difficult, that’s ACTUAL failure… not stopping the rep before, as most do.
THEN being able to repeat this 2 more times - it takes a certain level of experience that does not come easily.

Even when i did DC i found that i was still able to push it harder each session (in intensity, not rep/load) after a few weeks - meaning that 6 weeks is not enough to be able to turn around and say “hey… where are my gains” (i mean, what program is?!)

You seem to have a decent attitude tho OP… keep it up.

Your pics aren’t that bad either - and remember your age. You are a young bean yet.

Imaging what you can achieve by 29. (wish i had a pic from when i was 19!)

Thanks for the info GrindOverMatter.
Of course when I asked for a typical daily food intake I was referring to the OP but it’s useful information none the less.

OP- GOMAD=Gallon Of Milk A Day. Exactly what it sounds like. 4.5litres of milk every day.

Deliverance, the fact that you started this thread, is the reason why you are not huge or don’t have the results you want…figure out what I mean by that. It’s not meant to be condescending or rude. It’s the truth.
AMEN to this, thank you!

OP, get the book…IronMind: Stronger Minds, Stronger Bodies by Randall J. Strossen, PH.D.

yeah, i guess. But define clean, ever since i stopped eating “clean” and added things like Frequent burgers, occasional pizzas, and just more carbs in general things have been going better. Im 19 just like the OP, and quite frankly adding these carbs hasnt caused a signifcant gain in bodyfat maybe ive gone from like up to 14 percent from 12, but i still have the small abdominal defination that i used to. Maybe just less vascularity in arms now.

My Rule of thumb for deciding weather something is acceptable to eat or not is weather it has a shitload of protien. I dont touch junk like desserts, soft drinks, doritos etc. I don’t claim to be hy000ge but this approach has been working pretty well for me lately. now if only my gym would open back up…
Sounds like you are eating pretty clean. Clean-unprocessed foods, complex carbs, veggies, and fruit-avoiding things like simple sugars and junk food. A pizza or a burger by no means is going to kill anyone as long as they are putting in the work at the gym.

Yeah, the problem is, most of these people think in an “all or nothing” fashion. They will accept lesser gains just so they can brag about how “clean” they eat…or they will start eating everything from candy to jelly filled donuts if you tell them a burger won’t kill them.

Hey Brauny 96. Nice pic of Mike Miller in your avatar

yes i’ve read super squats b4 and had worked up to 215 20 times, and i’ve been on tmag for long time and hae tried loads of programs, but ig guess the one common denominator was my eating. And Ill have done DC for a total of 10 weeks

Deliverance, I will give you props for actually listening to the vets on here and not getting defensive like most of the younger people on here. But the best advise that I can give and you is to go to the best of page on the bodybuilding thread. Read all the post of how the biggest got to where they are at i.e. professor X, Fattyfat, Alpha, Dave, and CC to name a few. Take you time and read all of those posts, this will give you a good idea of what you should be doing. Good luck to you.

When i first got started to read this site, it was when the physique clinic was happening. I never started to diet or anything, but i ate very much like the participants, very low carbs, lots of protien, decent fat. I was a total newb at that point so i was able to both gain some muscle and drop fat at the same time. I was about 172 lbs at the time. I was convinced this was THE way to eat, even though i knew i wanted to get bigger, i still kept carbs to about 50-75 grams a day. I don’t even understand why know but it seemed to make sense then. Haha it was probably due to the truth about bulking article.

Thats exactly the way it has been for me. Thanx BSC, I’ll check them out

I agree, people forget about the gray area in this sport, what works for one will probably not work for the other. Unfortunately people seeking to mimic the size or gains of some other dude they see, leads them to believe they need to find out exactly what he did and repeat it. As far as people going too far one way or the other, one side is mindlessly unedjucated/misguided the other is just looking for an excuse to justify their failure or lack of effort.

Everyone wants to be huge and shredded but doesn’t want to put in the work to get there, if they spent more time concentrating on setting goals and taking the time and effort to reach them, than finding the newest fad eating and workout plan that will get you both jacked and super lean in 6 weeks, well, lets just say the percentage of people seeing what they want to see in the mirror would sky rocket.
