I don’t know if I am a sepcial case, but if I eat a large amount of carbs (read: a normal amount by anyone elses standards), I get bloated and uncomfortable for about 1-2 hours afterwards. A post workout drink with lots of sugar (30-60g sugar?) Forget it! I am on the floor for two hours, what is wrong with me?
Don’t Know but have same problem digestive enzymes help some though
How does your daily fiber intake look? I’ve seen similar problems alleviated by bumping up the fiber intake…gradually.
poliquin has said that a large portion of america is rather intolerant of carbs. you most likely are in this cateogory.
All carbs are broken down into glucose in your system, an excess of which fuels overgrowth of Candida bacteria ( aka yeast overgrowth) in your intestinal tract.
After a good meal with moderate to high carbs, my muscles usually feel tight and full, similar to a bodybuilder doing a “carb up” before a show. But after about 30 minutes to an hour, the “tightness” goes away and I feel fat and soft. I asked Tom Incledon about this and he had said it has something to do with how the body digests food. Usually, it happens when you eat too big of a meal.
