It’s a starter job Pitt. Do you understand what that means?
If someone graduates from High School and wants to get a job and has a clean license and no arrests and can pass a drug test (that lets you out) they can work for me for $12 per hour.
It’s an opportunity to have a first job.
Where does it say that everyone is entitled to make 100-k per year at the age of 18-22?
Stop acting like a little socialist knit wit.

You hit the nail on the head with entitlement mentality. Someone from Taiwan would probably work for half the amount.
I was making $4.75 an hour 20 years ago and I was damn appreciative to just “have a job”. IMO you describe a pretty decent package for a starter job.

you did pretty good , my first job was a $1.60
If I were to invest $6000 in training I would hope to make my money back sooner than $600 hours
that is 22.5 weeks before you see profit and we are talking not much profit for the investment and the donation of 22 weeks

They must be racists.
My Pastor interviewed him last year on his radio show for 2 hours. 2 days in a row.

And what did he say? Was anything revealing?

Detroit tried social planning, and when it didn’t work, they doubled down. It doesn’t work, has never worked, and in my opinion will never work. I am curious how Dutch destroyed Detroit, single handedly.
If we can blanket blame, how did NAFTA help the long term economy?
Unions had their time and place, and may again if they quit being the bully that caused them to be created. When a company is not making any money, the demand of higher wages is just plain silly. They often cite one executive earning gobs of cash as their battle cry. If one guy can bring in a team or has a vision that is successful, I don’t see the problem with a compensation where each worker contributes a smaller amount per hour than they do to the union reps.
Bias alert. My father and older brother were both fucked by their unions. Dad was supposed to be called back and they reported that they couldn’t find him. Calls for union dues and letters for union dues made it to the house. Brother was in a union that went on strike. He was in a lead position where they were allowed to work to do emergency jobs. When he called a union rep to ask, when so called emergency work started to be everyday work and new work, he was verbally told to go ahead. Bad mistake. He did, on the advice of his union. He was later brought in to the union to be questioned about said work, and they didn’t support him when he was fired.
Sample size of 2 is small, but I hear more and more examples of this. Teachers sitting idle in a room collecting full salary, people fucking up and can’t get fired…I am sure there are many more cases for the positive…Pretty sure I suppose.

I have a bad one. My father was in management when the workers went on strike. He was approached after hours by 2 union thugs. They pulled a gun on him and told him if He did not give them what the wanted then he would kill his family (wife and 3 small children) in front of him then kill him. He had police escourt for 3 weeks while the office was closed down and all workers were laid off.

I agree Unions had there place and I believe their place is rising again . But aside from that .
Specifically what type of Social planning do you allege Detroit tried and how did they double down ? Thanks
