Walker Wins Big

Post your thoughts on Scott Walker’s win in Wisconsin last night. Does it speak to the Presidential election in November. Or, is it just that the voters wanted to reward Walker for slapping the unions and otherwise doing a great job as Governor.

I think it’s funny and completely unsurprising that Pitttbullll’s assessment of the situation on the ground was completely and totally wrong, as usual.

Personally? I blame Ronald Reagan for this terrible outcome in Wisconsin.

I think this does bode poorly for Obama and the unions. Romney has a real chance of winning Wisconsin a state that McCain lost by 14 points in 2008.

These are the times when watching Maddow and MSNBC is exciting!

It’s funny how Shultz says “we have to regroup and figure out exactly what we are up against”.

ANSWER: The American People!

Walker for VP!

I posted this in the other thread but it is relevant here as well.

The front page of Yahoo spinning this victory AGAINST Walker.

That’s the liberal media that I speak of all the time. And they’ll be out in full force spinning for Obama as well.

How many times previously has an incumbent lost in a recall election?

And the stupid democrats tried it anyway?

Whahahaha

Only one I can recall is Gray Davis in California, I believe (that’s how Arnold first became governor). But I can’t remember details of that recall and I could be wrong, and I don’t know of another recent recall against a governor.

Correct Grey was ousted as was someone else in the midwest. Recalls are 2outs and 1stay so far.

In California, the cities of San Jose and San Diego voted in favor of pension reform, which labor groups promise to sue over.

The fear of Unions was all they had, now they don’t have even that.

And the biggest reason for Grey’s ouster? Enron.

Good call.

The power brokers causing rolling blackouts did not help Senior Grey at all.

The Davis recall stemmed from a couple things. The Enron thing, but also giving illegal aliens drivers licenses. When Arnold was elected, he revoked them within his first month.

Also some interesting news here in Cali, we now have an open primary, regardless of party affiliation, the top 2 go for a showdown.

In San Bernadino, a highly prized area, the top 2 contenders are REPUBLICANS, had this seat been won by a Dem, it would have been a helpful shift for the Dems to win back the House (the national House, not statewide).

“Democracy Died Tonight”… LOL

Hey asshole, Meg Whitman spent $170 Million to become California governor, and she lost.

This is REALLY where the Unions have me scratching my head.

It isn’t like these States or Municipalities are swimming in Cash. In fact, many are in the red, sometimes cutting back basic services.

There simply is no money!

What is their argument?
