The fact that they lift and eat relatively clean means they’re OK with me! To me, that shows a level of control and discipline that most people lack.
The fact I quoted 6-13% BF is merely the result of a rant (hence the /rant). Most of it can be ignored, but you get the general gist of it.
Absolutely agree with you there.
I did notice the /rant also and knew that you were generalizing. The original intent of your post was not misunderstood, I assure you.
When are you NZ’ers just going to submit to our rule and become the 7th state of Australia?
Ha ha, mate, at the moment, with the way this country is being run, a lot of us share that sentiment! Just google ‘anti-smacking bill’. We’re fast becoming a nanny state.
Just another reason we need a female prime minister instead of that guy we have now.
I see that this thread is getting off topic (mostly my fault, i guess) so lets get back to it. The reason for fatties in general is because of societal attitudes prevalent in places like this:
This thread is a benchmark for dumbasity. As if men aren’t getting fat. EVERYONE is getting fat, were there people who actually just noticed that women aren’t immune to it?

Really? Where did you travel to? My guess would be an urban area. In all of the Provinces here, there are about 5-10% more women than men (the territories are reversed). I think the amount of “competition”, so-to-speak, has a lot to do with it.
I grew up in a bigger city in Ontario with well over 350,000. There were many more women than men…the women, generally speaking, were attractive and made an effort to look nice. Now, I live in a village on the east coast, population of about 1600. The ratio gap is much more narrow. It would be my guess that the average woman here is well over 200 pounds and probably about a size 16.
MsM, you are 100% correct on that. When I worked in the fashion industry, we actually had 2 size charts-urban and rural. The difference in a size 5 for the rural area was that it was actually around an 8-9. I think that women who live in larger cities are more body aware, maybe due to a more cosmopolitan atmosphere. In downtown Montreal, you’d be hard pressed to find a really fat chick.
I think it’s about time men and women started being honest. If your partner is overweight, unhealthy and unattractive, your not doing him/her a favor by not saying anything about it and wishing for a hotter model. Women have to stop being so sensitive about it and do something about the problem.

There is a reason this is about women. This thread was started by a guy (I’m assuming). The healthy in-shape heterosexual male doesn’t give two fucks if every other guy is fat. It’s the women that count!
From my casual observations, up until about 5 or so years ago, most guys into their late 20’s and beyond were fat. Most had beer guts and were all in pretty poor shape. Now women have simply caught up and in many cases overtaken fat guys. The alarming thing is how many women are fat in their late teens.
Ok, here’s a pic I just took to show that I’m not a completely fat bastard complaining about obese girls. I’m in the 15% range I think, I know I’d be better off dropping more blubber. Maybe this will be incentive for me to eat cleaner.
BMI is a completely useless measure of obesity. I am 6’1’', 277 pounds. Going by BMI, I would be extraordinarily obese. Oh wait, I actually am obese! I love being a powerlifter, it gives me an excuse to be a fatty.
