Lmao imagine having a dad like that. “But dad I don’t want to it’s hard” “You know what’s hard son? Suffering liver failure in the middle of a 150 mile marathon and finishing, suck it up buttercup”
I have a friend who has been training for these things for a few years now, he always talks about this guy, he showed me an article about him were he stated he was a power lifter for a few years before joining the military. Pretty crazy…
now that right there is a lesson in perseverance … damn inspiring imo
I loved his philosophy : If you can picture yourself doing something, chances are you can do, if you can’t, you won’t.
Fuckin’ a right Charlie
Those were some serious hills he was running up. Crossing those streams must suck so hard. That is inspirational.
has this guy written any books?

x2
He has a great philosophy in visualising.
Damn, imagine having to go through that fucking stream 15 times. Your feet would be completely fucked.
The guy runs 150 miles then does jumping jacks. He is made of some pretty stern stuff. wow
His way at looking at running and at life should be an inspiration to whatever you do in life.
Enough philosophy.
Holy FUCK, That dude is a fucking beast. (for runners anyway)
Wow…
"He called race director Chris Kostman to see if he could get in. Kostman asked Goggins how many 100-milers he’d run. None. How many marathons? None. Kostman told him to get some ultramarathoning experience if he wanted to run Badwater.
Days later, he entered a 24-hour race in San Diego. The ordeal left him with broken metatarsals in both feet and a case of kidney failure, but he did crank out 100 miles in less than 19 hours. Ten days later, he ran the Las Vegas Marathon in 3:08. And for ample measure, he entered the H.U.R.T. 100-Mile Endurance Run, one of the hardest ultras in the world. Goggins finished ninth. All this was in the span of two months."
I worked support for a couple of runners at the Leadville Trail 100 a few years back. All of those people are freaks. No idea why anyone wants to do these things. Also, by mile 70 or so most of them smell like they are decomposing. Some of them barely make it or don’t make it. Some of them are up early for breakfast the next morning with smiles on their faces. I will never understand ultra distance running.
