dude! thats great. Congratulations, all the hard work paid off. Great stuff to see. Motivational video as well tbh, that damn song.
Just watched that video for a second time today
Seriously, congrats!! I had a meet last Saturday and remembered seeing your video a few weeks ago that said “Rest is for the weak” so I was back in the gym that Monday.
Keep up the insanely great work, Ben!
2nd what everyone has said, awesome work man glad to see it.
Thanks for all the support guys! Definitely was very happy with how the weekend turned out and I’m glad to finally be able to scratch that record off of my to do list, as well as winning an open men’s outstanding lifter title at a world level comp haha.
2Phlegms- Thanks brother has been a long time coming
@Pbclax1-glad you like the video brother I stayed up till 2:30 after the meet getting it all put together. I really liked the way it turned out. I dunno to me it felt like the hi point wasn’t the lift itself but the reflection on the journey to it and all the people that I’ve encountered along the way…
@jake_j_m-thanks brother, I am motivated anytime someone tells me that I’m motivating them it’s a like a vicious circle of motivation and I love it haha. keep pushing man everything that I have done can be achieved by anyone else willing to put in the time and commitment. And it can certainly all be done natty!
@spar4tee- thanks bro, next up for me is a break from competing for a little while to focus on improving. I have made a lot of progress over the last year but prepping for different kinds of meets really impacts my training making it hard for me to get where I want. I’ll go into some detail about my plan in my next post ![]()
@jacob-1310-thanks j, like I told Pb, I think the best part of the video for me wasn’t even the lift itself. you can almost feel the work that went in. I got motivated myself watching it haha
@ashylarryku- thanks bud, glad to see there is someone out there who doesn’t think I’m totally crazy, how’d your meet turn out? and I I’ll be back in the gym tomorrow afternoon getting ready for my next challenge.
@parsley-Thank you!
Serious congrats on your recent asskicking victory, you should get your celebration on Viking style i.e Rape and pillage!

haha well I’ll keep that in mind haha thank you!
sometimes strength comes in package deals… While I was down competing at WABDL Worlds, My good friend and training partner Zack McCarley (Zack Nims in the video) was competing in the ASC national lightweight pro strongman national championships… and he won… that’s right my training partner is the strongest LW Pro Strongman in the country!
Combine that with my training partner back home Ben Seath and you have a lot of strong people pushing each other to improve. here’s a video of Zacks domination! And if you’re curious… that is Bill Kazmeir announcing!
Congratulations Ben, that was a monster pull and it just fell right into place. Awesome.
Gotta give you credit for going for a 20# PR on top of that world record! Don’t ever quit!!
Good job man, damn good job.

Thanks brother, I figured that I didn’t want to leave feeling like I had more in me and I had already reached the goal I had been chasing for 2 years… and if that 771 would have went… how cool would that have been haha

I totaled 1,245 with a 530 deadlift, 330 paused bench, and 385 squat. My squat might be horrible but at least my deadlift is decent lol. I’ll be coming for you ![]()

LOL
Damn I gotta train with you guys! I feel left out ![]()
Jesus. What an amazing set of training partners to have around you… it’s one thing I don’t have/have never had and I’m sure it can make a ton of difference. I love constantly getting my illusions of how far strength/size can be taken in this shattered via yourself and Evan’s bodybuilding log… it’s all the motivation I could ever need.
Felt pretty good my first day back in the gym after worlds, with the exception of some nagging groin/adductor cramps. training will be going straight until I find a meet to hit my next total goal at. I am making the commitment now to pass up on any meets where I don’t feel like I have a reasonable chance of hitting my goal total.
Because of this extra time to focus on training I have divided my training into 7 week sheiko style blocks with specific goals to reach at the end of each block. Block 1 will be no belt on any movement, no wraps, and no feet on bench and using tyler grips. The after 6 weeks of training with these stipulations I will test my beltless squat, No feet bench, and Beltless dead in a mach meet fashion and deload for the rest of week 7 with some lower intensity workouts. then I will start the next training block, and bring my feet back into the bench, belt up for squats and possibly belt up for deadlifts. that’s the basic plan here’s how day 1 went
Bench w/tyler grips
(no feet)
185x5
225x4
255x3x2
285x3x5
Squats
285x5
315x5
385x4
425x3x2
485x3x3
(groin was cramping really hard on these and so I just cut the last 2 sets. I felt like my depth was going to really start to suffer and I didn’t want to risk tearing anything on day 1… I’ve got time)
Bench round 2
225x5
265x4x4
265x6
Double pauses
225x5x3
Did some pullups and called it good. the groin cramps would have made just about all my accessory movements impossible so I scratched them and went home to rest and stretch. Tomorrow will be shoulder Isolation day to focus on bringing my bench up.
Video of the first day back vvvvvvvv
Looking good buddy. Benching with zero leg drive looks like it’s paying off for ya.
…wow that’s all I really have to say
incredible stuff man
was feeling pretty tight still from the squats yesterday but decided to go through with my planned workout anyway and hit my shoulder work.
standing strict military press
95x5
115x5
150x5x5 (felt easier than last weeks 145x5x5)
Seated DB Laterals
30x10x3
25x10
Plate raises
45x10x4
seated DB curl to press
45x8x2
rear delt machine
10x4
Tyler grip chins
10x4
Calves
BW 18-2-60 circuit
felt good about today’s work and definitely feel like I’m getting stronger every week on it. Tomorrow is deads bench deads. Hopefully my groin and inner thighs will be done cramping by then.
I’ve been trolling the logs a bit lately, and some of them are making me want to bring mine back here… especially yours. Pure awesome.
I’m sure I missed it somewhere, but what is the situation with the no feet bench?
Thanks
Big things happening in here as usual! Reading this log always gets me crazy pumped to work out…its just a shame I’m supposed to be taking a deload week at the moment!

no kidding right haha I’ve almost caught up to my training weights when I was using my feet… I’m definitely happy with it
