Crazy front squats, the set at 405 didn’t even look like a max attempt!
Nice cleans too, I’ve really been trying to bring my cleans up recently. I’ve hit just under 200lbs for a single but my front squat is definitely holding me back with them. [/quote]
thank you! The strength is not an issue with my front squats, but they are a hit or miss exercise for me. If my setup is off the weight shifts forward to my fingers and wrists and I can’t hold the weight so I either smash the lift or I dump it… I haven’t figured out how to grind them out yet. And I definitely know what it’s like to have a front squat be the limiting factor in a clean haha hopefully mine will finally start to catch up a bit…
drove down to Lynnwood Crossfit today at Locals Gym to hit up a training session with my friend Justin Randal and some of his crew. I wanted to hit my opener today on an actual bar and give the World record 1 last tug before meet week just to feel it in my hands.

Had a blast at this facility. Definitely what I would consider an ideal gym. I tried some new things with the video today as I am getting more comfortable with the editing software, let me know what you think

front squats and cleans 5 days out but still going
Great workout today, made some front squat adjustments that made a big difference in the lift. carried over well into cleans too, and bench is coming along well
felt great today even with the long work weekend. light workouts tomorrow and wednesday then resting up for worlds down in Reno. Opener is decided at 733 and 2nd attempt will be the junior men’s 220 world record. Should be an exciting week

Dust has settled and the results are in. Had a pretty solid day at thew WABDL World championships. Weighing 204 and competing in the 220 class I won the junior world championship and the outstanding junior lifter award and the mens open 220 and outstanding mens lifter award with my 751.7 world record deadlift.
On top of that my training partner Zack McCarley won the Pro lightweight strongman nationals… team fuzzy putting on a clinic! thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement. We are truly Blessed
I dont know if it was the music in the video or what, but that video gave me goosebumps watching it Ben! You really are an inspiration. Motivating to see a video like this, especially when Im back training heavy DLs tomorrow for the first time since the meet! Congratulations on the world record, you deserve every bit of it man!!!
Amazing work. Stupidly motivating to have a world record level lifter posting here… extremely inspiring for a 20 year old like myself looking to get so much stronger and bigger as a natty.
