Quite pleased with how everything went I would have liked a 6th rep on the 535 set but didn’t want to overdo it this close to a meet. Either way the whole day went very well.
I just noticed your meet is on the same day as my birthday
well a very happy birthday to you then brother!

Congrats on the insane total, it was well deserved!
Any plans for another meet in the near future?
Damn Ben. You’re a pretty big deal now. Really inspiring.
Hell yeah, 1746! Motivating stuff Ben!! Congrats!
Thank you guys for the encouragement and support!
A phlegms- I have the WABDL World championships in Reno the first weekend of November, single lift deadlifting, after that I will take a long training cycle and start picking out meets and deciding goals to hit at them
Having a lot of trouble sleeping… so I made an epic lifting video instead
this is my “journey to the Iron Wars, and my 1746 Raw total” I’m going to be making my boy Ben Seath one later this week… this is a video showing some of my training leading up to the meet, then the actual meet itself… and I finally figured out how to use music in my videos the world may never be the same…

Ohhhhhhhh snap!
Yes more epic music followed by lifting.
Great job on surpassing your goals Ben.
You guys are strong as hell. And Seath’s got some thunder thighs.
No rest for the Weary
my meet on saturday marked 3 weeks out from my next meet the WABDL World Championships in Reno Nevada. What this essentially means is that I don’t have the luxury of taking time off and easing back into training after the meet. if anything it actually means that heavy deads are in the near future. I am however cutting out back squatting for 3 weeks and doing either no leg bench or using my new slingshot to help keep my shoulders healthy while training the bench.
Close grip Bench
(no feet)
185x5
225x4
265x3x2
285x3x3
add slingshot
285x6
Front squats
185x5
225x4
260x3x2
295x3x5
CGBP round 2
205x5
245x5
add slingshot
295x4x2
315x4x3
Pull ups
BWx10x7
Cable flys
10x4
Calves( to help prevent knee pain)
All in all a solid session. I have a feeling that the front squatting workouts will go much faster than back squat workouts have. My hope is that by the end of this 3 week cycle and my deadlifting meet I will be ready to launch back into a hardcore and uninterrupted sheiko training cycle
