Awesome session man. You’re my Sheiko inspiration (no homo) How long have you been using it? (In total, with any and all programs)
Thanks IA I am flattered haha. I ran it for 4 weeks before leaving for Europe, and I today I finished my 4th week since being back… In all honesty this log has contained my entire Sheiko experience, as it’s something that I started right after I started this log… I have been altering it to fit me and my style but I don’t see myself changing to another style any time soon…
Oh right on. I’ve only done 4 weeks of #29 so far, but I love it man. I like your modifications to making it fit a little more “custom”, and it’s obviously working
Yeah I jumped right into the CMS MS #2 4 day a week program and the modifications were definitely a good call IMO. Boris really seems big on partial deads in the form of block or rack pulls and I absolutely hate them… I either pull them from the floor or just switch them out for something else, and I added the max reps 1) to force myself to dig deep every session even after my body has somewhat adjusted to the volume, and 2) to give myself a mental boost by smashing a bunch of reps at a weight that I have been “surviving” triples at for the last 4 sets… 500x3 only feels heavy until you end your workout with a set of 7 at the same weight… it’s all mental
I really like the idea of taking the last set up a notch. “It’s all mental” is the truth!
Hit up the Lacey fitness center today with my brothers from the Animal Barbell club, I wanted to hit my deadlift opener… I’ll just say it was a great friggin day

That double with 705 was INSANE!! Great work!
haha thanks bud, I was definitely not aware when I started that set that it would be a double, really glad that I went for it though now I kind of wish I would have tried to break it of the ground for a 3rd but that might have been asking too much 2 weeks out haha

Scary strong deadlifting there man. Your structure looks perfect for sumo.
Looks like a great environment to smash some PRs!
Thank you! I definitely utilize the best style for my build, the feel of the event was like a crazy PR smashing extravaganza and the bars that Benny and I were using are doing to be the bars we’ll be using at the meet because Justin brought them from his gym where the meet is being held… can’t wait till meet day!

x2 I’m glad I’m training around stronger people now
the environment you surround yourself with goes a long way towards the success of your training… this is the truth!!!
You are definitely a born deadlifter dude! Watching you deadlift gives me the same sense of awe I get when I watch videos of Konstantin Konstantinovs deadlift. Killing it man!

That is a compliment that rivals any I’ve ever received. Thank you very much!
Since the actual workout today was pretty lame and to the point I threw together a video of me hitting my planned openers for the meet instead. I’m feeling good about how it’s going but it may still be a push to the 1700 mark just gotta be solid for the next 10 days with my prep
great openers. Hope that you achieve your goal at the meet.
Thanks! I have had my eyes on this meet for a while now and I really wanna give it a good run!
When you have a week of consecutive PRs/new stuff what do you typically do the following week? Every have any trouble falling asleep after a big training day?

I usually try to hit a PR every week at least with rep work, this last week was all about hitting openers for my meet so saturday will be my last “heavy” workout and then I’ll deload my way to next saturday. I used to have real problems sleeping in general but when Animal came out with a sleep aid I have been fine ever since
