I guess Wierzbicki is done with the IPF then, last I heard they made a new rule where if you are an international competitor and you do a meet in another fed you are banned for several years.
In Russia they really have a different style of entertainment, with the guys smashing the car to pieces at the end. Some of the stuff they do seems odd, but it’s definitely more exciting than most events in the western world.

Is he alright if it’s like a fed-less exhibition?
I enjoyed the arm fighting lol. Is arm wrestling but with the addition that u can punch and kick the other person as much as you want outside those rules. People just ended up bashing each other and ignoring the arm wrestling
If future production deadlift bars get more whip in them, there will be no end to the 1000lb sumo deadlifts.

I think so because he did that unsanctioned deadlift meet last year and later did another IPF (or affiliated?) meet after, but it looks like this was WRPF.
I skipped that because I thought it was just arm wrestling, that’s kind of crazy.
Bump. Jamal Browner still in the lead IMO for the ATWR but Krzysztof Wierzbicki isn’t fair behind with a straight forward 400kg x 4.

Also I don’t know if things have changed for Wierzbicki, but he used to suck at reps. Before he set his IG to private I remember him pulling something around 800 for a double and calling it a PR while he had pulled at least 900 for a single. If it’s still the same situation then expect some massive lifts from him.

If that was before his insta went private that was a while ago like before he even started using the deadlift bar often at all and did non IPF stuff. Definitely big gains since. Maybe if he gained some weight he could Browner but as it stands might be 2nd place or even 3rd place depending on how Woolam goes in the coming months/year.

Yeah his last meet he pulled only 15lbs less than Browner’s 242 WR, if he gained 20-25lbs I’m sure he could beat that. He’s kind of on the tall and slim side for PL and he’s very lean, I kind of wonder what his plan is. He’s lighter than when he was in the IPF.

I reckon he wants to consolidate the ATWR in the 100kg DL (full meet sleeves) and beat Belkin outright.

He might beat Belkin on the deadlift, but Belkin is pretty far ahead on squat and bench. I’m guessing Belkin will squat around 800 (assuming he gets about 100lbs out of wraps), Wierzbicki hasn’t squatted 700 and is almost 100lbs behind on bench too. If Wierzbicki bulked up to 242 or even 275 then he would squat and bench way more, right now his deadlift is almost half of his total.

Looking at Openpowerlifting, Wierzbicki already has the 220 DL record. Belkin’s best pull at 220 is 30lbs behind. Maybe he want the total record, his last meet he was about 47lbs short of Woolam’s record, but like I’m saying Belkin should be able to beat that no problem unless something goes seriously wrong.

More deadlift news. Looks like Jamal Browner is widening our his sumo deadlift stance (scroll thru towards end of this insta vids):

This is coming from a close/moderate stance which for a big guy like him is still fairly wide:

He could get a big boost of out his new technique. Kinda funny because I did something similar myself recently by widening my stance but if he gets the same gains he’ll be the best powerlifting deadlifted of all time.

Wider stance positioning looks like this

Hope it works for him. I might have to bring mine in a but narrower, the wider stance seems to be hurting my knees

I’m out wide now so we’ll see how it goes. Would be a lot of work on the knees in an awkward position if ur not mobile enough to maintain alignment of everything with a wide stance.
I think my issues is that I deliberately point my toes more forwards than my knees,I get more torque that way, or at least i seem a lot stronger, but probably whats putting the strain on. Either need to point my toes out more, or come in on the stance.

There it is. Jamal Browner with 476kg / 1050 lbs. with hook might be a bit less but he is in the range.

I just came in to post the exact same thing but saw you replying so waited
Pretty sick. He is going to pull 500+ raw someday. Might Total 1100 in the 110kg class.

He is still young and a steadily putting in work so I’d be surprised in 500 doesn’t happen in a few years. None of that Larry wheels YOLO lift bullshit either so probably bodes well injury and longevity wise.
1100kg possible. He has maxed out his weight class I think and already cuts down for comp but if he were to juice up hard and play around with body composition he could get there. Think his last comp was 350/210/440 or thereabouts
