Anybody else listen to it? Because, I’m seriously looking for something else worth listening to on there besides Howard Stern in the morning. See, I like talk radio because I can only really take so much music while at work. However, I don’t bring my receiver to work, I just listen to it off the web so I don’t have all the channels.
Honestly though, the Playboy channel is absolute shit. The metal station is broadcasted at very low quality and the electronica stations only broadcast pure cheeseball pop house and trance.
I listen to it all the time and I absolutely love it. I honestly don’t listen to too much talk though. Howard Stern got old real quick with me. I love the Verge or XMU…I love it because of all the music that no one knows about. The unsigned artists and obscure bands out there are great.
I listen to Howard most mornings. It’s something to entertain me while I work. My gym also has it, so we usually listen to Octane or Boneyard while we train.
Howard every morning for me, political talk in the afternoons. I can’t really listen to Playboy either. Most of the shows are low-quality Howard rip-offs, and every call is a trucker who sounds like they came straight out of “Deliverance”. No offense to truckers, but does anyone from say Chicago or CA or NY drive a truck? Its really only dudes from Alabama?

Hah, either a red-neck trucker or some straight up gangster trucker. It’s ALWAYS one or the other, and on Howard Stern… Angry New Yorkers

Check out the Jason Ellis show on Sirius Faction in the afternoon. Sirius channel 28 or XM channel 42, I think. It’s not in the mornings but just in case you get a chance. I think it starts 12:00 eastern. This guy is a pro skateboarder, amateur MMA fighter, motocross rider, and he’s in a band called Taint-stick. He has a few regular guests on there like ‘Mayhem’ Miller, who’s a crazy ass MMA fighter. Anyways check it out.
I have XM. I listen to Opie and Anthony/ Mike & Mike (ESPN) and one of the comedy channels in the morning (about 20 minutes). Now that baseball is back, I listen to 20 minutes of a game on my way home at night.
I dont have sat radio but I listen to an FM talk station down here (South Florida), They do broadcast online @ wzzr.com and have some good shows. My fav is “Hometeam” which comes on @ 3PM EST.

Are you one of those guys that likes a band until other people find out about them, and then somehow stops liking them because they’re too mainstream?

Regarding the trance, what channel is up? I remember “The System” on XM, was phenominal. They played modern trance and even some oldschool.

Bingo. That’s how I roll. [/quote]
No offense, but no one in the entire world cares if you knew about a band before anyone else. Also, I think you’re trying too hard to be different. If you like a band, you like a band. No big deal. Shit, I like Michelle Branch.

I just started listening to Jason Ellis. Its XM52 btw not 42.
Liking it so far.
I usually listen to O&A and Ron & Fez but they are on vacation this week.
Never checked the playboy channel the idea just sounds weird to me.
My job would suck bad without satellite radio. They are shit radio stations out here and I am driving for 3-6 hours a day.

Well, Sirius has ‘Area’ which is fine if you enjoy club style electronica. The Chill channel is really cool, lots of atmospheric and earthy stuff there. However, my electric style is more geared towards the rave side of things and there is nothing for me there
