Who Else Talks Like Ronnie?

I always catch myself doing this in the gym. After watching so many of RC’s workout videos and wanting to emulate him I now subconsciously use his “phrases”. Every work set I always end up psyching myself up and say something like “Come on…light weight baby, light weight…just a peanut.” Lol.

It really does work. I don’t even do this purposefully, it’s just become ingrained and that’s how I get ready to move heavy shit.

Anyone else catch themselves busting out a “Light weight baby!” “Nothin but a peanut!” or maybe even my personal favorites “YO YO YO!!!” and “WOOOOOOO…WOOOOOOO!” Before he busted out his 800 lb squat? lol, gotta love him.

I dont say it out loud but usually before a heavy squat or deadlift i repeat in my head a few times “LIGHT WEIGHT!”… During the lift is another matter, i grunt make faces and scream. Ronnie is a BEAST.

If I ever come close to using 200lb db’s i might think about throwing the peanut phrase around.

Yea I say it out loud sometimes. I also throw in “Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah budddy!”

I do it just to mess with my fiance and scare her. Nothing like yelling “YEAHHHH BUDDAAY!!!”
randomly

I don’t lift heavy enough yet to call stuff lightweight but I do the WOOOOOOOOO thing.

Not precisely a “yeah buddy” but an “oh yeah baby!!!” thing. Everyone who trains hard has his way to get psyched, and screaming works for me too.

haha good stuff guys. Lol @ jehovas fitness. Next time I get a blow job I’m just gonna scream that as I blow my load… “YEAHHHH BUDDYYYYYYY WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”

lol.

Gotta just let it out sometimes, RC is the man.

Aint nuttin to it, but to do it…

I let it out, but I really won’t feel good about yelling it until I great strong enough to warrant doing that kinda stuff. 'Till then I tend to go “YEEEEP” a lot.

That and “It’s hot in this place.”

everybody wanna be a bodybuilder but aint’ nobody wanna lift dis heavy ass weight!

haah, its funny you posted this thread. My friend was screaming LIGHT WEIGHT BABAAYYY!! soo fucking loud every person, literally every person came over to see what was going on while he was getting ready for a heavy lift.

He was tryin some obscure amount of weight never got close to before and ended up being CRUSHED by it. Im talking no foward motion AT ALL. So after I saved him from being a bench bar pancake, I told him he could NEVER quote RC ever again, ever.

I have been tempted to do it, this guy giving me a spot once was screaming that shit at me, got me real pumped… The thing is i cant justify doing that shit, and not getting the lift…

It’s funny for me because I started saying them as a joke, but now I find myself saying them to get pumped up. Ronnie is the man.
Ain’t nuthin but a peanut.

I have a video a coworker took of me chanting and swaying back and forth like an autistic kid before a “go for broke” squat.

I was sitting, looking at the ground and half-whispering so the audio was bad…
…you could clearly make out the words “cheese” and “grits” in the video.

Toohuman.

Sounds like all the spectators scared your friend shitless into lifting that weight.

When you’re scared and you’re under the bar you don’t get to run.

Hahahaha all the time sadly.

Shut up and squat!

Who Else Talks like Ronnie?

All the Saddo’s with no independant personality. Thats who.

It’s just funny as shit when you let out a “light weight!”, and someone you don’t even know chimes in from a few feet away with the “yeah Buddy!” -lol
