Guys, I have a confession, one time my gym (see the video I put on page 4 I think) was really really bad, I mean stuff everywhere there were more DBs on th efloor than the racks, so I decided to do a tour of the gym with more of a conditioning thing in mind, and I used most every DB and dropped them on the floor, and lots of the Hammer machines and used all the 10s and 5s and made an even bigger mess in the hope that it would be a hintto the staff to be more strict. I’m in Asia you see, and it’s hard to describe but if someone is a jerk here doing something that inconveniences others, very few other poeple will say anything. I was alone at the time and it was about 7AM. I not too proud of how angry I was.
That’s okay, as long as you pick them up when you’re done.

I thnk it somehow became so insanely chaotic that a new order emerged and things became tidy again!
Gah! the exact OPPOSITE happened to me at my gym. Usually everyone does a pretty good job reracking weights and stripping their bars…this week…it’s like everyone left their gym ettiquite at home, and the gym staff just lets it get disasterous before they go in and move anything, and at this point, I had already reracked most of the stuff 3x over.
hmmmm my gym is always a complete mess. Plates and dumbells all over the place. I work out right before they close, and during that time they actually have 2 guys that do nothing but put away the dumbells and plates. They never seem happy.

Nope, I’m an asshole with you on that one
Sweet. I felt so much better about myself when it happened to me tonight.

so basically you think you’re special enough to determine everyone elses level of fitness? trust me, you’re not that special. might want to start putting that back as it’s just as arrogant as leaving any other amount of weight on the bar.

and some people warmup with the bar
And people often warm up with 135…
I warm up with the bar, yet, I still leave 135 on it when I’m done since I know the majority of my gym uses 135 to warm up with.

I see many people warm up with 135, but I have no idea what the majority of the people who go to my gym warms up with.
Guys I’m not making this up…I went into my gym on Thursday morning and I made this movie to show how messy it can get, and look what I found! SOMEONE DIDN’T PUT THEIR WEIGHTS AWAY! What if the next person couldn’t lift this? Do they think I can warm up with this massive weight!!!
I swear I didn’t put the weights on there as a joke. They really were on there.
I’ve gotten kind of OCD about rearranging the plates when I’m working at the gym and not training someone. It’s frustrating to spend several minutes gathering a few 10lb plates when they should be in about one place, especially when I’m on the client’s time.

I actually like loading and unloading the leg press. The rack is on the other side of the room, so I leave it loaded until I leave, and get a farmer’s walk series in. Unless somebody needs to use the machine of course
What well and truly pisses me off is that somebody takes ONE of the squat rack pins, and moves it somewhere random. Its a damn easter-egg hunt to find it. Once it was mixed in with spare handles and bars for the FT and Lat pulldown, another day it was under the dumbell rack, and yesterday it was UPSTAIRS IN THE YOGA ROOM. I have no idea wtf somebody needs a squat rack pin for in the yoga room.
