I just bought a bottle of the stuff and then read in an article on this site that it can cause gastrict bleeding. Is there any use for this stuff at all or should I just trash the bottle?

Why did you buy it? What benefits were you looking for? It contains a chemical very similar to asprin (which can cause gastric bleeding).
I bought it cause I used to see it on ECA stacks that I would take. Mistake number one was buying into the hype with out looking into the herb itself.
I was looking stimulant effects.

As someone else mentioned, White Willow Bark contains a chemical which is essentially the same as the precursor to asprin, so you’ll get very similar effects.
Like asprin, in and of itself, it won’t provide any stimulant effects, but works well when coupled with Ephedrine and Caffeine.
If you’re not doing an ECA stack, I’d put it off to the side and save it for the next time you have a headache.
From some of the research I read, and some of it mentioned in T-Nation articles I believe that aspirin or its herbal equivalent in white willow bark provided only superior fatloss effects in obese women, not in obese men and especially not in relatively lean people. (In an ECA stack)
So I don’t think aspirin to be that usefull unless its used as a daily preventative medicine. I just stick with E and C bought independantly, costs so much less.
Well thanks for the help guys… I will take your advise and just use it if I ever come across some more ephedra.
