Yeah, a decanter would be nice…with one of those really extra-wide whiskey glasses.
I usually use a shot glass or a taller glass like Capt. Haddock uses.

21 year old Balvenie. It doesn’t get any better. And if it’s scotch, drop the e whisky

I tried this last night and really like it. Not too spicy or whatnot. Sweet and fun.
I’ve heard never to drink any single-mat whisky completely neat - as I understand it, adding a few drops of water or a small ice chunk (not enough to really dilute it) brings out a lot of the flavour.

I’ve heard that too. Someting about it “activating” the oils…but I keep forgetting to do it.
I’m a neat guy.

I’m happy to say I’ve found Buffalo Trace at a store here in Taiwan. I bought a bottle but haven’t tried it yet.
They also had Four Roses…anyone have an opinion on that?
Split a bottle of Bushmills last night. And now, the regret.

Four roses is pretty good. Had it at a Bourbon bar here, a lot of flavors coming at you with that one.

Bought a bottle of 21 year old Glenlivet as a house warming present for a friend this weekend. It didn’t survive the weekend; definitely one of my new favourites.
Also really like Old Pulteney and MacAllan.

Good, and cheap.
Honey Jack
Vodka. I don’t care how. Screw-driver, red-bull mix, straight shots, soda mix, flavoured, whatever.
Vodka is the greatest thing Russia has ever produced, next to maybe the periodic table.

Polish vodka is particularly awesome, if you haven’t tried it already.

I haven’t. I’ll be sure to give it a shot.
