Whiskey!

For those of you whiskey fans who ever make it to DC, Jack Rose is a MUST STOP.

They literally have more than 1500 DIFFERENT BOTTLES of whiskey and bourbon. Seriously. It’s like a temple to the whiskey gods. That being said, it’s overpriced. But seeing that wall of bottles is worth a $13 drink, IMHO.
There’s a restaurant in Orlando with over 500,000 bottles of wine. Unfortunately I’m not cool enough to know the name. Apologies for the off topic input.

Sip it neat to start, but don’t feel bad if you need a splash of water in it. No need to be a hero, now.

I like to think of drinking Bookers like drinking a good scotch. A couple of drops of water will open up the taste. Ice makes it sweeter, but it sort of dilutes the benefit of drinking such a high proof bourbon.
It is really good.

roughly 12 more weeks til i can sip on some makers, right in time for my dirty 30. only downfall of being on cycle other then you gotta come off and run pct is no whiskey/bourbon.

Why? You must be on orals? If so, understood.
who said anything about orals? ive never in my life ran any 17aa mehtylated trash for longer then 5 weeks. I dont drink for heart and blood preasure reasons i could give a fuck about my liver it repairs, i dont want strokes and heart attacks in my 40s. You sir can drink on cycle i will stick with my routine.

Well, thank you for granting me that if I were on a cycle!

I was not disparaging you. I just figured you were avoiding alcohol so your liver didn’t do double duty.

I wasn’t aware that minimal or moderate alcohol consumption caused heart and blood pressure problems. In fact, it’s been shown to do the opposite in my recollection. I’m sure heavy drinking does and maybe that’s what you meant?
kind of, number one when im on cycle i just dont drink. i do not tax my body anymore then it needs to be. i chew tobaco thats the one thing i havent given up. im also not a one or two drink kinda guy i drink to catch a buzz and enjoy my whiskey/bourbon. this is a distraction from my goals on cycle. I pay good money for my gear and i dont want to compromise my body and results at all. Yes a glass of wine has been shown to be good for you but liquor is different and the more you drink the worse it can be. Alot of drinkers have heart problems amongst their taxed livers and i enjoy running aas so i want to be able to do so in my later years and not die off to early. so i wait until after my rebound from pct to enjoy a few drinks while im waiting to return to my gear. if i was running test only at 250 a week i would drink beer maybe. but dbol lots of test and tren i dont play roulette. A liver can repair itself for the most part but once you get heart problems your on meds until you die and going to the cardiologist alot. ill pass on that. Cholesterols up already on cycle no matter what so my logic is dont drink. i understand the point your trying to make and i agree orals get a bum wrap sometimes but if you told your doc you were on cycle and asked if you can drink what do you think his suggestion would be. im also not saying docs know everything either my old gp wanted me to get mamograms for a small amount of gyno that i told him was gyno and would be gone the next time i saw him, he said i was wrong and i proved him wrong the next visit. Its just a healthier decision amongst my unhealthy decision.

I had Booker’s on Saturday and then True Grit came on so I ended up drinking about a quarter of the bottle.

Tried it and love it. Considering its high alc content, I assumed it would be harsh. Quite the opposite. Very smooth, lots of flavours of caramel and vanilla. Thanks for the recommendation.

Anyone in the eastern USA ought to get themselves a bottle of Bowman Brothers Single Barrel, it is amazing stuff. I get my friends in VA to send it out west to me since I can’t find it here.

You woke up just now I take it.
Ha, no, I actually woke up Sunday at 10 with no hangover. I’m either lucky or cursed in that I can imbibe a middlin’ quantity of whiskey and not pay for it too much.
Just to be sure I say again I only drink whiskey once a week and have a few beers another day most of the time. If it’s not that then it’s only one a week…but I do think I need to be careful.

Just finished my Wild Turkey 101. Now onto 1792. Both are nice but I think I like the WT 101 better. Neat or with a splash of water. I love American Whiskey and I love how cheap Bourbon is in the US!

I think the highly distilled spirits are much better for you than beer or wine because with beer & wine you get ethanol and methanol. The methanol is not very good for you and I believe contributes much more to a hang over than the pure ethanol in whiskey.
