I’d say it would be fine. My only concern is the weight rating and the metal type.
A)Will the welds hold the weight.
B)What is the max capacity for all the pieces.
C)Can they accept repeated punishment, wouldn’t want your support bars to snap on a failed rep that would be hazardous.
When you look at an olympic bar it has give, when someone has 300+ pounds on the bar it bends.
If I had the talent/knowledge I would love to build my own squat cage.
Bought a bench/squat rack combo! I can do squats now which is really paying off. I work out way more than when I had to find a babysitter or (insert any excuse here)to go to the gym. My wife even bought me 4 plates for our anniversary. If anyone is on the fence about getting gear at home I say go for it. it’s been great. Plus it’s a good motivator when you feel like you need to buy “more weights.” I’ve put on 6 pounds in the last month and a half!
You can hit probably 85% of your body’s muscle mass effectively with these tools. A bench might give you more ROM in some regards, but its a low priority IMO.

Agree… offers access to squats and deads right off the bat. The bench can still be accomplished using dumbbells (so can squats and deads, although arguably not as effectively).
I got an olympic curling bar it is pretty nice. My parents gave me their schwinn airdyne pro for free! If anyone lives in northern utah there is a store that sells weights and other fitness equipment dirt cheap. 45lb plates for like 10 bucks each. It is in Ogden on 12st just east of the free way. Pretty soon my basement will be picture worthy then I’ll post a pic.

Outstanding!
I wish I had a bigger place. If I did I would build a home gym and never need to bitch about the commercial gym that I work out in ever again.
A power cage, bench, barbell and dumbells, add a chinup bar and you have all you really need.
