I posted this here because someone posted a review of CW’s new book so i figured here was ok
anyway i can get a book off this site for christmas and im unsure if i should get Muscle Revolution or The Big Black Book of Training secrets
I’ve just started CW’s TBT plan right now and my newbie gains have been nice so ill use the book after that to continue.
I’m also training for pole vaulting when spring comes around, the reason why im undecided is because Thibs book deals with the OLY lifts and those are supposed to be very beneficial to athletes, but that review of CW’s book made me want to get that…anyway, any help would be appreciated
I would get the big black book. I havent read Chad’s book yet, but going by what your goals are that would be the more appropriate purchase in my opinion.
CT’s Big Black Book is awesome. It has had a great impact on my training and I have made excellent gains since implenting quite a bit of the information. I will definitely be purchasing CT’s other books in the future.

how well do you think he covered the oly lifts?[/quote]
Very well. Chapter 13 is learning Olympic lifts and is 70 pages long in a 251 page book. It also deals very well in the differences in training for strength, performance and bodybuilding. Things such as rep schemes and training blocks. It also has a lot of pictures that detail all the exercises very well. Hope this helps.

So it just brushes the surface of Olympic lifting? snicker
What about Thibs’ new book? specialises in the strength-performance side
I ordered it but did not realise the wait was 4-20 weeks or something postage to Australia … wouldn’t be such a problem but I am moving to another country … will be interested to see if the post makes it in time.
Also original poster, do some dirty work and search T-Nation there is tonnes of info here you don’t really need a book if you dig around.
