Okay, so I’m over the ‘flourescent unitard look’ that ouro and I co-ordinated for the Steel City Strength Challenge (it’s sooo last month!!), and now I’m looking for a fabulously flattering?? simple singlet.
Hub bought a wrestling singlet a while back for hisself, but I’m not so nuts about the style; i.e. kinda has cuffs (like on some t-shirt sleeves) on the legs…and I’m just not a cuff type.
Is or are there places in Ont./Canada to order from, or will I hafta order from the States (no big deal, as I’m used to ordering the odd horse thing stateside)? Just looking for some ideas…thanks in advance for any tips :).
Hey thanks for the ‘athletic chic’ tip, MsM…and right in ol’ Brantford, most convenient! Judging by your avatar, you have excellent taste/fashion sense (that better not be a shot from Glamour, while you favour hay-streaked hair and dirty overalls?! …no, wait, that’s me-or at least me when I’m not at a Hollywood premiere, in which case it’s Versace and Manolo all the way :)!!), so I feel confident in following your advice!
p.s. do you know if they do ‘bling’? I do so try to keep with my signature ‘[blindingly] sequined’ look!

Glamour Shots? Ahaha Yeah, I had those done…cough about 17 years ago. The idea of wearing somebody else’s clothes freaked me out. (Shit, was it really that long ago?)
My old hair stylist in London is who I should hook you up with; Ming, owner of Opus Hair on Piccadilly St. That man gives the best head massages ever. He also has more full-length mink fur coats than you can shake a stick at. He is really the one with the fashion sense. Maybe I should give you his number.

And TNT, thx for the rowing zoot-suit tip; I actually got one at a thrift shop for $2!!, but it has a crest on it (I know in the OPA, there can’t be anything on the singlet…and not even on the t-shirt worn underneath).
I’d take the crest off, but it’s a LOT of embroidery to pick at; with my luck the whole suit would fall apart!

Crap. Now you tell me about the embroidery. I was all set to put beads and what not on mine. You know how I like to embroider.
This is starting to sound like an awful lot of rules.
Yeah, rules/schmules…you DO know about the one banning all t-shirts with pockets under the singlet in comp? (That may be a bit of a safety one; “Powerlifter Injured After Snagging Bar on Pocket”??)
