When You See Bad Lifting Form...

Just remember that you might just have as bad form as the other guy and not know it.

I try to ignore other people in the gym doing retarded things but what else are you gonna do for 3 mins between sets?

speaking of paralysis…i did mention this story before. a guy, not a newbie, was working out at gold’s (“that” golds - the mecca) on a smith machine w/o the bottom stops. he’s squatting about 315, a knee blows, he goes crashing down with bar on the neck. 28 years old or so, law student, good looking guy, paralyzed. effed

Damn, that does suck, but yeah, stupidity does reap it’s own rewards.

I work out after school at my high school’s gym. Not only does the form of most people suck, but half of the people in there are either trying to do some dumb shit like curl on balance balls or just go around doing 1 set on every machine in the place while texting or some shit and wonder why they don’t get gains.

I’ve had a few friends go in that wanted to start working out; I helped all of them the best I could and printed out and went over a workout/nutrition plan for those who were more serious.

I’ll always help or whatever if someone asks, but it would be such a waste of time to help out every Freshman that comes in wanting to get big and quits within 2 weeks.
