When You Get Pinned By A Barbell

Whatever you do don’t let go!

I got pinned to the floor doing push ups. I was in the middle of my second set and my arms gave out.

I couldn’t breathe so the first thing I did was turn my head away from the floor.

Next I slowly rolled onto my side and then my back. Luckily there was a table near me so I was able to grab the leg and stand up.

I will never do push ups without a spotter again!

I was doing concentration curls a few weeks ago and lost my concentration. Luckily, I remained unharmed, but it was the biggest scare of my life. Turned my teeth snow-white over night…

Maybe you should’ve taken the weight off first before lifting.

Yoe’re an ass, you need to replace those deadlift things with a safe exercise like stiff-leg squats!

This happened to me and I came to in some bushes in Houston.

People need to stop getting stapled to their benches

I see a lot of different ways of dumping the bar, so my advice is this.

PRACTICE. Yes, practice failing. Throw 135 on the bar, and figure out where you could drop it that it would cause the least amount of damage. I have to work out alone 2 weeks out of 10 in a basement, and I know just how to dump every exercise if I’m going to miss, and this is without a power cage.

This apply’s not just to floor press, but any lift.

As for getting pinned while deadlifting, try deadlifting off boxes, that way the bar doesn’t fall on your foot.

ahhh yes, or perhaps if i had rested the bar on wooden stools, then the bar would not have pinned me to the floor. wtf WAS i thinking?

Stop deadlifting of course. You’ll just hurt your back doing them.

Besides you don’t want to get all bulky, you want to tone.

Good advice…but better if done in the opposite order.
