I still consider myself a training noob, I’ve been lifting for about 2 years but I haven’t been doing it right since recently…not even right but seriously. I still have a lot to learn.
I plan to do this EFTS routine:
http://www.elitefts.com/documents/getting_ready.htm
The one for beginners with the 5x10 sets.
I want to get into competing push pull powerlifting.
So I was wondering, would it be smarter to use straight sets or ramping?
I was gonna do straight sets but after seeing this info on perfect reps and other routines ramping seems like a smarter approach.
Advice?
Thank you.

Ramp (kind of surprised you even asked if you’ve been reading Thib’s latest info)
