Conditioning:
30 minutes
5%, 3.2mph, w/ weight vest
Last 5:00- 7%

Either I’m underestimating my strength, or I’m not cutting enough calories yet. Reps are just cruising on up. So going to failure the last set, sometimes two.
Found a hammered weight vest in the corner of the gym. No idea how much it weighs, but it’s enough to make me sweat during that 30 minute walk. That’s saying a lot, my AC works better than a C-store beer cooler.

Weigh-in, 141.6, +0.5 from beginning of cut
Damn scale. Thing is stubborn. I had one blimp of a lower weight. Time to drop calories I guess. Photo updates soon.

Arms and back blew up. Abs look worse to me, but I am my own wrist enemy. Can’t bring myself to post the lower half, that is the area with fat rolls. Which will of course be the last to go.

You look fantastic! I’m so proud of you, though I realize it’s not my place to be. But I’m over here glowing.

Oh thank you! I can feel your radiance through my screen. I needed the pick me up. Tell me to move more and I’ll run myself into the ground. Tell me to eat less, limit cardio for recovery and cortisol management? I become one grumpy, low-confidence, SOB.

You’re looking fantastic, especially in such a short timeframe.

You look fantastic!

Not surprising, given your work ethic and consistency.

Keep it up!

@T3hPwnisher thank you for the kind words and nod on the timeframe. I’m not a patient person, but I really can’t be anything but happy with that much change in less than a month.

@SvenG appreciate it! Bit by bit we sculpt.

Saturday 7/26
1.5 hours SUP

Probably not worth logging, but it had me ravenously hungry and lit my lats, abs and back up. Paddled up river, then floated, easy paddle back.

20 KBs (40)
10 Renegade Rows (25s)
10 cal bike
Made it 4 rounds in 14:12
+10 minutes stair climber

Lots of great work today.
Rogers makes the best squat machine, I absolutely love that thing. Feels so much like a barbell, but takes the strain off my disc.
Added a pad for more stretch on the leg press, oh man did that hurt. In an anabolic way, of course. I bottom out all the machines if I don’t add stuff - pads, blocks, etc. Ballistic stretching is all I need.
Conditioning was hard, I was cooked after this.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!

It was absolutely wonderful.
-Hit leg day - because bdays are still not an
excuse to skip leg day
-Tried a new breakfast place that was outstanding - had some Turkish eggs that I will be going back for again
-Went for a hike
-Had a four course meal at an Italian cafe that my hubby and I adore. Spent almost three hours eating, as is the Italian way. The table was ours for the night. Apple walnut salad, Lamb kebobs with yogurt and chili sourdough, Roasted veggie Fusilli and meatballs. Then carrot cake and a maple latte to finish off. The ingredients this cafe uses are high quality, farm to fork. Even the pasta is made in-house. The carbs were so good I had a tiny pump after – I could watch my veins grow, pretty wild.
Left feeling amazing, satiated, and re-fueled. I have some left over pasta for lunch as well, should help with a solid push day.

Funny note, for years I have always gone on a trip for my birthday. I’m not one for gifts, I’ll always pick experiences over stuff. This year? It never crossed my mind to go anywhere. I live in my favorite vacation spot. I no longer default to escapism. It’s not lifting related, but I cannot stress how mentally freeing it has been to love where I live.
